The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to review the recommendation of the Sheriff’s Appointment Ad-Hoc Committee and appoint a new sheriff on Tuesday. The committee consists of Chairman Josie Gonzales and Fourth District Supervisor Gary Ovitt, which is rather fitting. Both have been the subject of state and federal criminal investigations in recent years─in other words, exactly the type of individuals one would want to recommend the next sheriff. Why not? San Bernardino County is known as “California’s Most Corrupt County.” For the sake of brevity, I will not once again list the number of investigations, arrests and convictions of elected officials and their aides that have occurred in the past two decades. But that list is substantial and has included more than one county sheriff. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by AdministratorI thought it was interesting in that one side of it addresses Measure R. As part of that side, the photos of the Colonies Four are posted. Of course, one of the Colonies Four is Jim Erwin, former president of SEBA. How ironic is that?
by AdministratorYeah, that’s not nice, I know. But it is very true in almost every TAD office I have worked in or visited. Good receptionists are kicked to the curb quickly while total witches are left to deal with the public. By the time a recipient gets back to a worker, they have major attitude and makes the job of EWs and ESSes so much harder. Anyway, here is part of an email I received today. I cannot confirm today although I was given a name to contact. I am sending to David Wert to see what the county has to say. In the meantime, I know we have lots of ISD readers. Any comments?
by AdministratorWell our favorite bully just can’t help himself when it comes to spreading rumors meant to intimidate. It seems (and please understand we have learned not to believe anything the bully has to say) that Burum’s crack PI’s have turned up hard-core—no pun intended—evidence that yet another Colonies witness is . . . drum roll please . . . GAY!!! Yes, as Bud Randles would say: H O - M O – S E X - U - A L.
by AdministratorI only have nine minutes of computer time left so you are getting it all in one post. 1. The blog: The backend is on moderate at this point for everyone. Some of you know the reason why and some don’t. There is a good reason for it and, no, it has nothing to do with ACU.
by AdministratorThis was sent to me by a couple of sources: I was at the Dogs Day Inn this morning and saw Devore animals control officer playing his little game of who can get the dog in the hole of the truck. Laughing all the time. Till he saw me. He was throwing the dogs at the opening of the compartment of the truck. When he would miss, the dogs would hit the side of the truck and cry out. Three dogs he did that too. I am crying as I tell you this. I am so upset at the fun he was having. I said, don’t you think you could find a better way of loading the dogs? He said, you want me to get bite. I want this to be shared everywhere. I tried calling Devore but on hold all that time. I just called Doug and told him. Of course he wanted my name and number. No thanks. I told him what he looked like and that he was with someone he must be training and that person didn’t do that. I said I want him fired. He needs another job. If I see him again I will call a cop on him for animal abuse.
