On Tuesday, San Bernardino County First District residents will choose between Robert Lovingood and Rick Roelle to represent them on the Board of Supervisors. Lovingood is the right candidate for the job. Despite both being conservative Republicans, Lovingood and Roelle are almost polar opposites. Lovingood is the business community candidate; Roelle is the big union candidate. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by AdministratorThe San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors is comprised of five elected members representing five unique districts. Just two decades ago its First District seat encompassed the entire high desert, Morongo Basin and San Bernardino mountain range, taking in over 18,000 of the county’s 20,000 square miles. But today, due to significant population growth in the southern part of the district, the huge desert/mountain district has significantly decreased land-wise from its original 18,000 square miles to just over 15,500 square miles. The most recent census shows that it now takes in the Victor Valley cities, excluding Barstow, along with much of the Mojave Desert, stretching to the Nevada border, south along the Arizona state line. by AdministratorWe have REALLY appreciated your support on some of the projects. We have two more that are still being created that we would love for you to follow and like. They are: AD40Updates: Facebook @AD40Updates StopRickRoelle: Facebook @StopRickRoelle
by AdministratorI am creating a new site. Check it out: www.StopRickRoelle.com I want to turn the “Stop” into a stop sign but I do not know how to add an image to another image in Photoshop. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
by AdministratorET says Roelle needs to explain his death. I have never heard of him. Can any of you shed some light on whether or not this is something to pursue?
by AdministratorWe have helped this video gain over 500 views. Can we make it 1000? Or 2000? Please share this story. We don’t need this jerk on the BOS−although he would fit in perfectly. It seems the shenanigans of San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors members, or in this case, that of a candidate who wants to become the newest member, will never end in “California’s Most Corrupt County.” There are at least five members who have been accused, plead guilty or are under FBI investigation in recent years, including four chairmen. Now we have a candidate who can’t wait to be elected to start embarrassing the residents of San Bernardino County. Rick Roelle, who is also a lieutenant with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and a councilmember and former mayor for the town of Apple Valley, was manning a candidate’s booth at the San Bernardino County Fair when he decided to give the bird to a constituent. That constituent had a movie camera in hand and caught Roelle on tape. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by AdministratorAdministrator’s Note: You have to scroll down on the actual story, but there is a list of the top 25 safety retirement allotments. There are a few new names. It is not hard to figure out why San Bernardino County employee unions are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to influence the first and third district supervisor races. The top two candidates in each race could not be more ideologically apart. Yesterday’s announcement by Supervisor Neil Derry to introduce a measure to limit pension spiking, among other reforms, sealed the deal. According to a press release issued by Derry’s office on Wednesday, pension costs as a percentage of total county expenditures have risen from three percent in 1999 to nearly ten percent of all expenditures in 2011. The county contribution to the public employee pension fund has increased from $43 million to $232 million. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by AdministratorAdmin. Note: After being hacked, the story is back for those who did not get to read it. Examiner was able to restore it. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Rick Roelle is one of seven candidates vying for the county’s First District Supervisor seat. He has been endorsed by both the San Bernardino Public Employees Association (SBPEA) and the San Bernardino-Riverside County Central Labor Council of the AFL-CIO. SBPEA represents about 12,000 county employees. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a member of the labor council, is attempting to decertify SBPEA to become the union representing a majority of county employees. by AdministratorDo you guys really want Bret Henry or Rick Roelle as the next county supervisor? I need information on the incident where Roelle pulled a Nazi Lowrider out of a cell and beat the crap out of him to the point that Risk Management had to give him a check.
by AdministratorIt seems the truce between Hesperia politicos, the Voglers, and current mayor, Russ Blewett, did not last too long. We’ve been noticing that the Voglers have once again become outspoken about Blewett on local blogs and we wondered why. We also heard that Rita called out Russ at a public meeting the other day.
by AdministratorI promised a Rick Roelle story weeks ago and never got around to it. Basically, Clint Air, founder of Americans for America tea party group, announced at the February meeting that he was asking that voters NOT vote for Rick Roelle.
by AdministratorI would like to get all of you cops off of the District Attorney arrest story and onto something else. Even I am weary of all the bickering. So, Rick Roelle is running for First District Supervisor. Right now he is one of two Safety members doing so. How would all of you, especially those currently working for the department, feel about SEBA endorsing Roelle? Remember that an endorsement will come with a five or six digit dollar amount in support of his campaign.
by AdministratorThat was the message at a meeting I attended tonight. That’s all I’m gonna tell you for now because it has been a very long, tiring day. I will get the whole story up tomorrow.
by AdministratorPosted on April 14, 2010 by Administrator There was a time in the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department when brawn was far more important than brains. As a matter of fact, education beyond high school was looked upon as suspect. Fortunately, over the past 30 years, the powers that be have become more enlightened and an educated deputy is valued. But there are throwbacks even now. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Lieutenant and Apple Valley Councilman Rick Roelle is such one example. Throughout his career, Roelle has had issues with his temper and his ability to control violent outbursts towards suspects and prisoners. Early on in his career as a deputy, Roelle would beat prisoners detained at Central Jail. But one of the most disturbing stories comes not from his early years, but rather after his promotion to Sergeant, a promotion made with full knowledge of Roelle’s penchant for violence. by AdministratorLast Friday the San Bernardino Riverside Central Labor Council held a day of appointment interviewing potential candidates for endorsement. Among those in attendance were none other than our own lovebirds, Victorville City Councilwoman Angela Valles and Apple Valley Town Councilman Rick Roelle. They are both Republicans seeking higher office.
