She will be discussing gun and ammo sales in California. “Ask Your Sheriff” is hosted by Paul Schrader, a constitutional sheriff candidate for the office of San Bernardino County Sheriff. The election is June 2014 and Schrader is up against a board of supervisors appointee who is in the process of enacting a gun confiscation program. Since the Sandy Hook massacre last year, a plethora of bills are being introduced at the local, state and federal levels to curtail gun ownership using a variety of means. The result has been a surge in gun and ammo sales. To read the rest of the story, click here.

by AdministratorThe San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to review the recommendation of the Sheriff’s Appointment Ad-Hoc Committee and appoint a new sheriff on Tuesday. The committee consists of Chairman Josie Gonzales and Fourth District Supervisor Gary Ovitt, which is rather fitting. Both have been the subject of state and federal criminal investigations in recent years─in other words, exactly the type of individuals one would want to recommend the next sheriff. Why not? San Bernardino County is known as “California’s Most Corrupt County.” For the sake of brevity, I will not once again list the number of investigations, arrests and convictions of elected officials and their aides that have occurred in the past two decades. But that list is substantial and has included more than one county sheriff. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by AdministratorConstitutional sheriff candidate Paul Schrader will be among the guest speakers at the November 1 meeting of the Americans for America Tea Party chapter. Schrader is running for Sheriff of San Bernardino County in 2014. Traditionally, San Bernardino County sheriffs have picked their successors and few outsiders have opted to run. No outsider has been successful in at least six decades. The term “constitutional sheriff” refers to a sheriff who believes that upholding the Constitution of the United States is of utmost importance. by AdministratorThe recent attempt by California Governor Jerry Brown to repeal provisions of the Hayden Act, the state’s landmark shelter animal welfare legislation, highlights the need for animal shelter advocates to become politically savvy. For real reform to occur, we must work towards electing leaders who share our beliefs as they relate to animal welfare. In an attempt to educate animal advocates, I decided to write a regular column called “Politicos and Pets” to highlight elected leaders and others who want our vote. The column will focus on pets and those politicos who love not only their own pets, but have a heart for the plight of abused and unwanted animals everywhere. by AdministratorMarch 23, 2012 Kari Herreman San Bernardino County has waited a long time for a Sheriff like Paul Schrader. The almost 30 year veteran of law enforcement and has trained and practiced at the local, county, and federal levels. His leadership has brought fiscal and operational successes to several major policing and community projects and endeavors, and earned him several coveted awards in his field. However, what sets this candidate apart from incumbent Sheriff Rod Hoops is a willingness to reach the members of the community and address their concerns with a straight forward approach.
by AdministratorPaul Schrader I am curious about how many of you would vote for Paul Schrader instead of Rod Hoops or his expected successor, John McMahon (sp?). Here is a link to Paul’s blog: Paul Schrader. Paul’s blog is being added to the blogroll.
