Administrator’s Note: Even if you don’t read the story, check out the video. It is worth it. The press release is the subject of smirks and sarcasm, and rightfully so. What press release you ask? That would be the press release from 8th Congressional District candidate Phil Liberatore updating us on his “Farmer’s Legacy Tour.” You may remember that Liberatore is a carpetbagger from Whittier that will likely spend about $1 million in his attempt to buy the seat. Liberatore, not only does not live here, but is more uninformed about the area than anyone can imagine. His campaign has been full of gaffes as he tries to fake his knowledge of the area and its issues. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by AdministratorThe 8th Congressional District encompasses parts of San Bernardino, Mono and Inyo counties but does not include any part of Los Angeles County. Some have criticized Phil Liberatore for being a carpetbagger. He lives in Los Angeles County but is a candidate for the 8th Congressional District. Liberatore’s reasoning is that after running in his home area and losing big, he could buy a seat elsewhere, where he thought the populace to be less educated and more gullible. He thinks by running on an anti-corruption platform, we will jump at the chance to vote for him. To read the rest of the story, click here.

by Administrator21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ ˜ Matthew 7:21-23 ˜ Back in January 2010 I wrote a piece entitled, “Blood Stains On Their Hands.” To this day, it remains my most-viewed entry. I will copy the relative part to the end of this post, but the gist of the piece was that we have a lot of “christians” in public office who carry the Bible in one hand and a knife to stick in your back in the other. Not only that, but they have become haughty and elitist and believe their own rhetoric.

by AdministratorCalifornia’s new 8th Congressional District encompasses more than 20,000 square miles, making it the largest geographically in the state. It extends from the east end of the San Bernardino Valley, over the mountains, to the Nevada and Arizona state lines and up through Mono and Inyo counties. There are 13 candidates running for the seat including 10 Republicans, 2 Democrats, and 1 “no party” candidate. It is a heavily Republican district; however, due to the new open primary system and the number of ways the Republicans will slice up the vote, it is conceivable the top two vote getters could be Democrats. John Pinkerton is one of those Democrats. Here are the responses he provided to Examiner.com. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by Administrator(Victorville, CA) – Redistricting, retirements, term limits and an open primary have led to a free-for-all in some California races on the June 5, 2012 ballot. The race for the new Congressional District 8 (CA-8) is one of the wildest. Thirteen candidates will appear on the ballot that includes ten Republicans, two Democrats, and the races most well-known candidate, former Republican Assemblyman Anthony Adams. Adams, who did not run for re-election after a failed recall attempt for crossing the aisle to vote for the largest tax increase in California history, is now running as the “no party” candidate. But Adams is not the CA08 bad boy. That distinction belongs to city of Victorville Mayor Ryan McEachron, who crossed the line more than once even before the filing period for the seat was over. by AdministratorPhil Liberatore (Lake Arrowhead, CA) – The Phil Liberatore campaign announced today that Keith Olberg, who served in the California State Assembly from 1994 to 2000, has become a senior advisor to the congressional candidate. During the 1990s Olberg’s assembly district encompassed much of the same territory as the newly created congressional district. “The people of this district know me, and they know of my passion in defending the U.S. Constitution” Olberg said. “From the passage of the unconstitutional Obama Care, to the violation of Americans’ religious liberties, to a President who puts our military in harm’s way without the approval of the Congress of the United States, Phil Liberatore sees where America’s leadership has taken us off-course, and he is passionately committed to righting America’s Ship of State,” Olberg continued. by Administrator(Victorville, CA) – Eleven candidates vying for the newly created Eighth Congressional District attended the Americans for America Tea Party debate held at the Victorville First Assembly of God Church Friday night. Americans for America is a Judeo-Christian-based Tea Party group. Less than 200 people attended the event despite heavy radio and newspaper advertising in the Victor Valley, which is home to close to a half million residents. Even Sharron Angle, best known nationally for her run as the 2010 Nevada Republican nominee for the United States Senate against Tea Party nemesis Senator Harry Reid and who moderated the event, did not draw a crowd. Thirteen candidates are in the race but Barstow resident, Jackie Conaway, who is endorsed by the Democrats, did not attend. Assemblyman Paul Cook was also absent due to a fundraiser that had been planned before the debate was scheduled. To read the rest of the story, click here.
