Dear Sharon San Bernardino County Fire owes the town of Havasu Lake an explanation to several questions arising from some very strange events at Fp-6 Havasu Lake. If unable to answer and account for every action and every dollar, Mark Hartwig should resign. 1- Why is County Fire utilizing uniformed County Fire staff as political operatives, on the county clock? ( I thought we just had an Assessor time-clock scandal…) 2- Why did County Fire utilize a uniformed Firefighter to standup a known violent felon to chair a fraudulent M.A.C. meeting? Triple Felon and Firefighter Terry Gardner only two former M.A.C. members present.(4-27-12) Cover-up starting…. 3-Where is our Fire Captain ? And where is the money? 4- Where is our local board to oversee our 218 election generated tax dollars? And where are the 218 tax Audits? You know, the ones that show where our misappropriated payroll money went? And all the other “Transfers Out?” 5- Why is County Fire unwilling to produce the record of accidents at Station 18? The situation at Havasu Lake is greatly aggravated by the fact that County Fire apparently cannot trace the 501$ either and has once again recklessly endangered this organization. The attempted use of the 501 board to sit as a local Fire Board is beyond stupid and can only come from a desire to destroy this fine group. Please remember that there was also an attempt to remove Donna Massey and replace her with violent felon Gary Chamberlain…And lets not forget [...]
by Administrator with No CommentsI have been following the Christopher Dorner situation since the story broke on Los Angeles radio station KFI640 Wednesday night. I rarely care about such stories, but like so many Southern California residents, I have stayed glued to the radio and television via the internet to keep abreast of the latest in the massive manhunt. My interest was sparked mostly by Dorner’s claims of whistleblower retaliation and wrongdoing within the Los Angeles Police Department. You see, I am the administrator of iePolitics.com, a blog dedicated to corruption in San Bernardino County that has become known for exposing wrongdoing within the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Dorner’s claims echo what we have been discussing for the past seven years in our own county. As a matter of fact, many of us found his accusations eerily familiar. by Administrator with 20 CommentsHas anyone else noticed the tone of comments on the various news stories about Christopher Dorner? I have been surprised by just how many people either support him or at least understand why he has done what he has done. That is not to say very many condone the killings, most don’t. But there is a LOT of contempt for cops and for the bullying that takes place in the workplace by supervisors and management towards those who believe in doing the right thing. It feels like the tide is turning.
by Administrator with 16 CommentsNote: This is a follow up articles to one we ran last April: Jason Simpson It was sent to me while I was sick and I never got it posted. MSM missed the whole point on this guy so I thought it is still worthy of print. Desert Vortex has been added to the blogroll. By: Dean M Gray | January 31, 2013 | Leave a Comment ShareEmail Print 5/5 ( 100% ) based on 1 rating City’s Former Finance Director Becomes Former Finance Director for City of San Bernardino file phone / Desert Vortex Jason Simpson DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA – After less than a year on the job, the finance director of San Bernadino has called it quits. Abandoning his high profile job in the city of San Bernardino, Jason Simpson, the soft-spoken former finance director for the city of Desert Hot Springs gave his two-week resignation notice to San Bernardino city officials. The city is seeking bankruptcy protection and has shed 200 employees from the city payroll since July this year. A query of city officials in San Bernardino revealed they knew nothing of the pile of controversies in Desert Hot Springs that Simpson left buried behind in 2012 when he suddenly quit Desert Hot Springs by jumping to the San Bernardino job. by Administrator with No CommentsKevin James is a candidate in the city of Los Angeles mayor’s race. He is one of eight candidates in the race. He is a Republican and he is openly gay. Time will tell if he will be embraced or rejected by either. James said in a recent New York Times article, “Depending on what room you’re in here, sometimes it’s easier coming out gay to Republicans than it is coming out Republican to gays.” To read the rest of the story, click here.

by Administrator with 9 CommentsFrom: Christopher Jordan Dorner /7648 To: America Subj: Last resort Regarding CF# 07-004281 I know most of you who personally know me are in disbelief to hear from media reports that I am suspected of committing such horrendous murders and have taken drastic and shocking actions in the last couple of days. You are saying to yourself that this is completely out of character of the man you knew who always wore a smile wherever he was seen. I know I will be vilified by the LAPD and the media. Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name. The department has not changed since the Rampart and Rodney King days. It has gotten worse. The consent decree should never have been lifted. The only thing that has evolved from the consent decree is those officers involved in the Rampart scandal and Rodney King incidents have since promoted to supervisor, commanders, and command staff, and executive positions.
by Administrator with 21 CommentsI’ve been on the road so I’ve had KFI on and heard Tim Conway Jr. read the entire manifesto, etc. Obviously, Christopher Dorner snapped. But what struck me is now many of his claims echo things we have talked about here on the blog.
by Administrator with 4 CommentsJust to let you all know, I think I have found a company in another part of the world to host the blog. Because of all of the issues, I am going to start from scratch. Both iepolitics.com and iepolitics.net will remain with godaddy and be available for anyone who wants to do research on it. The new blog will be independent of both. I will let you know when it is up and running. There will also be a secure email address for you to contact me at. In the meantime, there will little added except for Examiner articles. I hope this is a quick process so we can get back to business, but no promises.
by Administrator with No CommentsSo the BOS has set a second special meeting for tomorrow to discuss last week’s dismissal of the county’s case in the Colonies settlement. Our BOS members have been so jacked around by county attorneys and the CAO/CEO and they are too stupid to see it. Or are they? After all, it is not their tens of millions of dollars they are wasting for political advantage.
by Administrator with 3 CommentsIn the post below, ACU has added emails between SEBA and the county. The content of these emails are typical of what was going on at SBPEA as well and why I was kicked out of SBPEA. They represent one of the biggest reasons this blog got started almost seven years ago and why we have done so well. What you see in those emails is TYPICAL of union/county relations in San Bernardino County.
by Administrator with 6 CommentsWe shall see.
by Administrator with 25 Commentsit got contentious. More on that when I have more battery.
by Administrator with No CommentsThe San Bernardino County Republican Central Committee (SBGOP) has been in disarray for some time. In four short years, county party registration has gone from 30,000 in the red to 30,000 in the blue. In other words, the Democrats gained 60,000 voters more than Republicans did. Robert Rego became SBGOP chairman in 2008. He paralyzed any effort at voter gains. Fundraising has also been at an all-time low under his watch. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by Administrator with 12 CommentsKevin James is one of eight candidates Los Angeles voters will choose from to lead the city for the next four years as its mayor. James is a former assistant U.S. attorney, radio host, community volunteer, and most important to us, an animal lover. He is owned by Lisa-Marie, a dachshund. “Lisa-Marie was a special needs rescue because of injuries sustained prior to her adoption. She has become a completely devoted companion, whose favorite things in life are chasing squirrels (she’s never caught one) and Runyon Canyon,” says James. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by Administrator with No CommentsI want to do this as an Examiner article, but I need a little more information. I have been told that Supervisor Lovingood is NOT staffing his San Bernardino office. All staff are located in the district. If true, this is interesting on a number of different levels and I do not believe many of them are good for us.
by Administrator with No CommentsI’ve been working on some customer service projects of late and I’ve come to the conclusion that the wrong companies worry about customer service. The ones that need too–don’t. I’m talking about WalMart, McDonald’s and a few others. It would seem in this economy with so many people unemployed companies would have the choice of some of the best employees. I guess the best have given up and stay home because customer service is getting worse, not better. I ordered something that had to be shipped to me via FedEx. I get home and there is a notice on my fence that they tried to deliver it. They would not drop it over the fence for what reason I do not know. The next day they left a second notice. I have no way of knowing when they are going to arrive and they were making the third and final attempt the following day. I tried to schedule it so I could pick it up. The system would not allow me to do so. I finally got a hold a real person who gave me the news that if I wanted to pick it up, I had to do so in Palmdale. Are there no FedEx facilities in Victorville? It wasn’t like I had exhausted all the attempts yet.
