Every state-level elected official is a Democrat.  Democrats control a super majority in both houses of the state legislature.  And the expected result is higher taxes, job loss and promotion of a very left-wing agenda with bills such as AB 1266, a bill that will allow students to use shower and restroom facilities based on gender identity rather than their genitalia. 		<description><![CDATA[Before California’s landmark Hayden Bill was enacted, municipal animal shelters in the state routinely adopted out intact animals capable of creating generations of new homeless dogs and cats that would wind up in the shelter down the road.  Yes, some shelters did offer incentives to spay and neuter, but mostly irresponsible people were allowed to adopt animals that in turn were allowed to procreate freely, increasing the pet overpopulation problem.

At the worst point in our nation’s history, 30 million animals a year were killed for lack of suitable homes.  And at that time in history, “compassionate” killing was the exception, not the norm.  Decompression chambers, gas chambers and heart sticks were a common way to kill unwanted pets, all of which are excruciating ways to die.]]></description>
