The art of it all is incredible. Well worth watching.
by AdministratorHere are a couple of new websites that are being added to the blogroll: AB109News.com and PacificWhaleWatching.org.
by AdministratorI had another encounter with a local school bus today. I have a question.
Are flashing amber lights the same as flashing red lights? I ask this because this was the fourth or fifth time in which I witnessed a local school bus driver pull over to the side of the road with amber lights only and allow the kids to cross in front of the bus without red flashing lights. These buses, at least the ones that are near my house, do not seem to have red lights or they are not used. They also don’t use the red stop sign that pops out very often.
by AdministratorBut I am pretty fed up with the events of this week so I thought I would put it out there. I lost my cell phone tonight somewhere down in Riverside while trying to get a couple of small jobs done. For those of you who have my cell phone number, if you are so inclined to send a text or call my number and tell whomever picked it up to turn the phone in, I’d appreciate it.
by AdministratorI haven’t approved your comments yet for a reason. I sent you an email but sometimes my emails end up in spam. Please take a look.
by AdministratorThe city of Santa Clarita hosted its 20th annual cowboy festival this past weekend with one of the largest crowds in recent memory attending the two-day event. The biggest names in the western music and poetry genre were on hand to entertain festival goers. Riders in the Sky, Don Edwards, the Sons of the San Joaquin and Baxter Black all played to standing-room only crowds while some attendees shopped at the many western-themed boutiques, learned a little history at the Buffalo Soldiers display and blacksmith shop or enjoyed the trick ropers and Native American dancers. But like most years all of the music and fun was upstaged by one thing at Melody Ranch. It was not a celebrity or entertainment of any sort except to the taste buds. It was the peach cobbler, which was cooked in old-fashioned cast-iron buckets over hot coals. It can take an hour or more to get thru the line for a bowl of the confection but there were no complaints. To read the rest of the story, click here.
by AdministratorThere are two new stories over at PoliticsInTheWildWest that may interest you. One is about a deputy NOT arrested after driving drunk and getting into an accident. The other is about a local businessman and corporate greed. Finally, I have been asked by many about the databases for iepolitics.com and iepolitics.net. I am going to work on a project of combining the two, removing any malware and loading them to a place where they can be accessed and ranked by Google and the other search engines. In other words, the information will be accessible to anyone searching the internet for anyone who has been mentioned in the blogs.
by AdministratorThis has been a very slow process, but two more sites are up, although they both still need lots of work and lots of content. They are: Animal Welfare Western Heritage Let me know your thoughts, how they look on your computer, etc.
by AdministratorIt seems Republicans simply cannot keep their feet on the ground and out of their mouths. The party has become known as the party of hate and for good reason. The reason is not that most Republicans hate anyone, because I do not believe that to be the case. The problem stems from certain factions of the party faithful. If one attends Tea Party, Republican Women, and other conservative functions, without fail there are two or three people spouting off hateful comments towards immigrants, gays, Muslims, blacks, Hispanics or whatever their choice of victim may be at that moment in time. by AdministratorThis has been a heck of a day. Long before my hissy fit, I managed to drop my phone in a bucket of water. I thought it might be okay as it still seemed to work for a few minutes. But then it started randomly dialing numbers in my directory and I couldn’t stop it without taking the battery out. It allowed me to read one text message and did tell me I have some voicemails. However, I cannot listen to said voicemails. I tried to get a new phone but they didn’t have anything I wanted. Since I’m forced into it, I really want to get a smart phone. We shall see when I try again tomorrow. In the meantime, if you were dialed by my rebel phone and no one was on the other end, I’m sorry.
by AdministratorI’ve been asked, “What has happened to the blog?” Well, the blog is on S T R I K E !!!! Honestly, I’m tired of the bullshit. I’ve asked for intelligent comments and not all the crap. The blog is not for personal vendetta; it is to expose corruption in the county.
by AdministratorThe 2013 Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival in Indio, Calif. concludes this Sunday. The festival features music, food, livestock, camels, monster trucks, a demolition derby and, of course, dates. The highlight of the festival is the pageant that takes place every evening beginning at 6:15 p.m. “The Sultan, the Sea Princess and the Hunchback” is this year’s tale told in the spirit of “101 Arabian Nights.” To read the rest of the story, click here.

by AdministratorI’ve been working on some customer service projects of late and I’ve come to the conclusion that the wrong companies worry about customer service. The ones that need too–don’t. I’m talking about WalMart, McDonald’s and a few others. It would seem in this economy with so many people unemployed companies would have the choice of some of the best employees. I guess the best have given up and stay home because customer service is getting worse, not better. I ordered something that had to be shipped to me via FedEx. I get home and there is a notice on my fence that they tried to deliver it. They would not drop it over the fence for what reason I do not know. The next day they left a second notice. I have no way of knowing when they are going to arrive and they were making the third and final attempt the following day. I tried to schedule it so I could pick it up. The system would not allow me to do so. I finally got a hold a real person who gave me the news that if I wanted to pick it up, I had to do so in Palmdale. Are there no FedEx facilities in Victorville? It wasn’t like I had exhausted all the attempts yet.
