iePolitics: Where are the grammar police when you need them?

As soon as I hit the “publish” button on my last story, I realized there was a grammatical error in the title.  Or was there?

I changed it.  But which is correct “Friends of Freddie find” or “Friends of Freddie finds”?

My argument is that “Friends of Freddie” is a singular organization, so it should take “finds.”  But then again, it sounds funny.

iePolitics: Not a single puppy dog story tonight! :(

Noah

I know y’all miss ‘em.  See Noah above.  I am sure that’s how y’all are feeling too.  But they will be back with a vengeance soon.

I have three weekly columns planned:  Politicos and Pets (profiling elected officials who actually care about animals); Faces of Homelessness (profiling the pets of homeless people); A rescue’s story (profiling difficult rescue stories).  So you all can look forward to that.

iePolitics: Time to declare war on the BOS

It seems the part-time BOS initiative was not enough to get board members’ attention.  They continue to go on their merry ways, ignoring the problems in this county, such as the Devore Animal Shelter.

A few days ago I sent an email to Brian Cronin and the members of the BOS making a few accusations that can be proven.  I knew I would get a response from Brian.  The BOS, of course has their collective heads up their butts.  I did get one response that wasn’t meant for me however:

iePolitics: Stuff

I know I still owe you all the Rick Roelle story.  I haven’t been up to it but I will get it out soon.

The Ronald Reagan story below was supposed to be published last night but I had all sorts of problems with the software and the people who said they would give me quotes.  I finally left out everyone who did not give me everything I needed–a quote, a photo, and a link to their website.  So if you are not included, that’s why.

iePolitics: A couple comments about the stories below

As I was writing the Neil Derry piece, I was reminded of how many times I have sent email to the Ramos camp, only to be totally ignored.  So, if they don’t want to give me their side, I have no obligation to write about it.

But more than that, I find a similar attitude among certain groups.  I will write a story on anyone running for office who wants to take the time to add me to their press release list, contact me, etc.  I am not going to beg.

iePolitics: More on Allen Kephart

Here is the transcription of the tape recording going when he was pulled over:  Transcription

Here is a link to the most recent story:  Allen Kephart

I don’t have time to read either.  I will just say that I am glad that I am not the only one completely appalled at the anonymous cop’s comments on the story below.  This guy is indicative of why so many of us have learned to hate law enforcement.
