Did you think her comment to the Channel 4 reporter was appropriate?
Well depending on which interview everyone is talking about the answer is YES!!!
If the one she did about 9:pm or so when a DOZEN reporters were asking the same questions with a slightly different word or phrase change, but basically the same question over and over YES, Bachman was RIGHT on the money.
Are reporters now suggesting because of the title they have, that STUPID does not apply to them, or EVERYONE talking to them must show the utmost respect desptie their moronic repeated questions.
The answer is NO, you are NOT awesome because you are a reporter and the 1st Amendmant does not give you a badge of STUPID with impunity.
Cindy did well in the face of those who had NO CLUE and continued to ask the same questions that had been asked and answered more than once.
The damn fire was still smoldering at the cabin and some of these reporters asked questions one might ask days later. I think some of the reporters expected a full blown autopsy report when Bachman started talking.
And the KFI folks, they have lost their mind on some of their commentary. I wish their office was just down the street. I’d be there right now, maybe the next stop would be the pokey.
I’d love to take John and Ken and Bill Handel on at the same time.
Not only appropriate but way over due. I was watching Fox last night and they gave her nothing but praises. They said she was much better than LAPD and that LAPD should have kept quiet and deferred to her.
Speaking of LAPD does anyone that is paying attention think it ODD that none of the crimes committed in this tragic event ACTUALLY happened within the city limits of Los Angeles????
Granted, LAPD employees were threatened, but what henious crimes happened there???
NONE, the murders and shootings were WELL outside LA city limits.
But WHO PLAYED the BIGGEST role in the media PARADE? LAPD.
Who offered up all the SUPPORT, LAPD.
Why would they in a 3 year old termination case involving a lying nut cop?
Yes they should protect those threatened in the manifesto, but why be so concerned about what happened in BIG BEAR???
The plot thickens, BET your butt on that one.
Another clue for you experienced investigators?
Ol Charlie Beck is saying the investigation on Dorners termination continues.
Why, Dorner is DEAD!!!!
We all know dead men tell no lies, right??
Ken, I have to agree with you…the reports were trying to get her on the ropes, but she handled the same question asked 50 different ways, the same way.
I bet this will be the first time in the history of this blog that James Mills will agree with Kenny! Come on James…
The only thing worth listening to on KFI is COAST TO COAST.
Shoot, he agreed with Kenny on the “It has been taken down” post. I’m behind the curve again.
Cindy was right-on.
Most of the press conferences consist of the reporters asking “Huell Howser” (RIP- Miss you, Huell) type questions. Something like “Was the fire hot enough to burn someone?”
Keep it up, Cindy. We need more PIO’s that act more like Chris Christie in a press conference and less like a Sesame Street character.
Cindy is an embarassment. She makes the IE and the SB Sheriff’s Dept. sound like illiterate uneducated shmucks. Why they continue to put her out there as their spokesperson is beyond me. All you needed to see was the back to back press conferences held by CIndy and the Fish and Game spokesperson. Their officer came accross as intelligent, educated and professional. Yes, she put a few idiotic reporters in their place but overall she sucks.
Like Oscar the Grouch??
Cindy did a GREAT JOB handling the media !
Yep, that Fish and WILDLIFE guy was a real crackerjack!
Especially when he kept backtracking and correcting himself, and calling Highway 38 “Highway 32″.
He’s a keeper!
Go to 6 minutes in, and watch until just past the 7 minute mark
Cindy and McMahon both made SBSD look like political hacks and very stupid. Cindy is an embarassment along with the new sheriff. Let’s not forget James Ramos and how stupid he made us look.
Wow. The PIO (Cindy) acted so unprofessional. She needs to go back to media school. This clip will be used for all the law enforcement media trainings of NOT WHAT TO DO. This is what happens when you have someone that has no business in this position and the whole country was watching. She is out of her league.
Sorry but as far as I am concerned Cindy was wrong. But this is the true Cindy. She and other former members of her family has been given a pass in this department for years and I think that many know the reasons why.
This may be the reason she has not been put on camera to many times in her 15 plus years with the department. Only since a recent retirement has she shown up on camera. The other PIO’s with the department have always been much more professional than Miss Cindy.
She is trained to be professional as they expect cops to do when they are asked stupid questions time and time again. Yet if an officer acted as she did and the citizen filed a complaint they would receive some form of discipline.
How does the old saying go, “If the heat is to hot get out of the kitchen”?
Ross we need to post the video of McMahon too, on what not to do as the sheriff. They both embarasssss SBSD. What you can say about McMahon is he was way out of his league.
I thought they both did a good job, better then I would have if it had been me in front of the cameras. That’s why you didn’t see me much on “Party Heat”.
Cindy was GREAT! McMahon, on the other hand – as he was just today at the 1600 press conference, was robotic.
Remember, Cindy wasnt answering questions from the untrained public. She was answering questions from members of the PROFESSIONAL PRESS CORPS at the time. She wasnt at the luncheon for the lady’s auxillary.
Just listened to Paul Schrader speak on a radio program. He was on for an hour taking calls from San Bernardino County residents. He will be a great sheriff. No bull just the facts. He supports SBSD deputies 100 percent. But feels the political appointed sheriff needs to go. He is on again at 7 PM for another hour. I don’t care what you think about Schrader but he’s good! No robot!
I dont know Schrader, but really a LASD Dep with NO real admin experience to run a huge organization. NO WAY!! Ill take my chances with a insider that really knows the folks, tempo, and dept. Schader, retire, hit the gym, and go work for Vons as a security guy.
I would love to see Schrader as sheriff. He thinks outside the box. He wants to revamp the good old boy promotion system. He will bring back the K-9′s. Schrader can do the job. I like his experience in helping cut $70 million from LASD to help ensure no lay offs. Paul also wrote the white paper for AB109. He has a lot of experience. 30 years of founded leadership. It’s not the title but what he has done.
Kevin that stuff about the gym sounds like you are sore and have given up on yourself. Call Schrader and meet with him. I am sure since he sold a multi-million dollar business he started a few years ago he might have a security job for you.
I will wait for the old he has never been promoted. Does not matter. What we have now is an appointed political pundit.
Stay Safe Boys.
