So the BOS has set a second special meeting for tomorrow to discuss last week’s dismissal of the county’s case in the Colonies settlement. Our BOS members have been so jacked around by county attorneys and the CAO/CEO and they are too stupid to see it. Or are they? After all, it is not their tens of millions of dollars they are wasting for political advantage.
I have to admit I found last week’s dismissal to be humorous, to say the least. County officials pushed, humiliated and bankrupted Bill into a plea deal and settlement so they could say, “Hey, re-elect me. Look at what I’ve done to clean up corruption.” Boy has that come back to bite them in the butt.
And, of course, county officials did it with the help of their crack legal team and wise CAO/CEO. Now, seriously, if a county official says he accepted a bribe, wouldn’t a first year law student understand the consequences? Of course they knew what would happen. But they advised BOS members to continue to push anyway. And push they did. And support DA Ramos in his push they also did. Just check out Josie’s actions, for one.
Why? Follow the money. The more litigation, the more money for the law firms the county contracts with to hire these first rate quacks . . . er . . . lawyers. Can’t you just guess what the Legal Beagle on Ice will tell BOS members in closed session? “We will win this. We will. We will. Just give us more money. We will win. We will. We will. Just more money . . . more money . . . more money.” Kinda like they did with the Colonies settlement. That worked out really well, huh?
But then again, I guess we, the taxpayers, are the real fools. We keep voting them back into office to screw us over and over again.

Question is will the BOS approve an extension to legal counsel’s contract, after they’ve lost in court (again)?
Me thinks only Sups Gary “O” and VIP Josie still want to cover for the Colonies Settlement conspiracy, which amounts to nothing more than a Brown Act violation due to serial meetings held btwn. the majority of BOS (Biane/ Postmus/ Ovitt w/ Kirk as pivot man) discussing an agendized item (the $102M Gift-o-public funds).
Looks like a 3 to 2 BOS vote on this one, with the new majority being against squandering anymore money on a failed and frivolous lawsuit… GO JANICE the REFORMER!

They burn more county fuel campaigning than a Sheriff’s Station burns on county patrol in a year.
Talk to one of these losers one on one and you would think this person has a disability.
No need to talk to Josie or any of the others in person, just watch the meeting videos and that is all you need to understand STUPID!!!!!

Our beloved CAO is an empty suit who is so scared of Mike Ramos regarding his CHAMPANGE trip back east, Mikey will get whatever he wants from the CAO and ANYONE else Mikey tells the CAO to support. The “devil” don’t want to be a Neil Derry.
I am told the TOTAL legal costs JUST on the civil issues as it relates to the Colonies is $60 million or so to date. FREAKIN WOW!!!!
And of course when the “devil” comes to the unions asking the rank and file employees for more concessions, I doubt the union presidents will show the “devil” the finger, then show him the door.
Add OTHER legal costs from pending or past settlements or litigation, I bet the numbers would exceed a normal persons comprehension.
You have dumb and dumber in possession of the checkbooks. The lawyers are serving up the Kool-Aid while dumb and dumber write them the checks.
You have the unions with their own crew of dumb and dumber, fighting with those dumb and dumber within management, paying their lawyers to fight the same wars over and over.
