Someone just explained to me regarding Mike Eagleson’s Grand Jury testimony that SEBA cut a check for about $2,000.00 and picked up a copy of that transcript shortly after it became available.

Beef being in charge would have been the one to do that.

I understand Laren knows very well about the expenditure to get those transcripts. Laren was on the E board at the time.

Hmm, I wonder if Eagleson read that very transcript?

So who is hiding the transcripts? Is the transcript in Eagleson office or Laren’s, is the question. If they were round filed, NOT GOOD!!!!!

Those long time readers who remember “Publius” aka Mike Eagleson who came onto this very blog telling EVERYONE the EVIDENCE against Jim Erwin is SOLID, and that we could take that to the BANK. Remember that Mikey?

Well what Mikey said to the Grand Jury as to Mikey’s loyalty, character, playing on the right side of the fence has ALWAYS been in question.

The Grand Jury testimony is NO SECRET and not a personnel issue.

Someone at SEBA reading this should be go WTF especially since issues JUST popped up with a certain Detective and SEBA rep.

The issues with Eagleson have been ongoing with others.

The E board NEEDS to look at those transcripts and see if Mikey is a SOLID dude. Remember boys READ for yourself.

I am betting money there is STINK attached to Eagleson’s testimony. I bet a serious one too.

NO worries though, just in case, myself and others will read them too!!!!

          Got MILK Mike?

The recent SHS contract that Laren approved is NULL and VOID.

Laren NEEDED the approval of the E Board before doing ANYTHING related to that contract.

Such authority is OUTSIDE his power when dealing with contracts that involve the membership as a whole.

I agree with some who said having TWO law firms available to the membership is a good thing, but LDME should be the primary law firm with SHS being secondary in LIGHT of what has happened with a CONCERN about recent cases.

          Eagleson said it, I didn’t.

I am sure Laren had some help in convincing himself he could ACT on his own. Hmm I wonder who it was to convince him he had that authority?

Some one is worried about SHS suing, REALLY??

Nancy Tate and Levine heard the audio recordings to the POBR violations committed by the department during the Bauer matter. Eaglesen, Levine, and Tate said, NO VIOLATIONS…….end of story….

Step in lawyers from LDME….. WRONG, violations were there, lawsuit in process, deputies getting approx 25k dollars each.

So members, who do you want as a rep for you? A useless rep Tate who said NO VIOLATION, a weak Lawyer who said NO VIOLATION, or a law firm that said BULLSHIT and is getting the deputies 25k.

Which mind you, your President stabbed LDME in the back and even though LDME proved the violations, LAREN took it from LDME and gave it back to SHS even tho I objected……..

Do any of you think it’s time for SEBA to go to PORAC plan 1???

What that means and others can correct me is, YOU will get a lawyer to assist you with problems as SOON as they develop.

I here the plan covers OFF DUTY incidents too.

Gee EVERYONE, do you want to worry if you get involved in a SHOOTING off duty you want to KNOW for sure your going to be covered if someone like Eagleson tells you your shooting is “out of scope” and SEBA walks away from you?

NO MORE Eagleson, Tate, Blanco to deal with. They WILL be unemployed as reps is what I am told. I guess SEBA could keep Eagleson employed as their water boy?

IA wants to talk with you, a lawyer is sitting next to you.

I have to tell you all, I’d really rather have Saku Ethir sitting next to me when dealing with the likes of an Eddie Stark style investigator.

I don’t think there will be a delay in calling BS when it pops up.

You won’t have to worry about the lawyer going to lunch with the brass, playing racket ball with the enemy.

I must say those from SHS might still be going to IA investigators homes for dinner though. But I don’t think the LDME crew will.

I hear it is a little more expensive than the current plan. But HOW can it be if SEBA is no longer paying for Eagleson,Tate, and Blanco?

I bet there is a $300k savings in salary and benefits that can be applied towards Plan 1.

So how much more would your dues increase for Plan 1, maybe some one can chime in a give us a ruff estimate.

Another benefit for ALL would be a lot less STRESS than the present situation. Hmm maybe a lot less blog time too, LOL!!!

SEBA’s foot dragging, game playing has created more stress than having to deal with Eddie Stark to be honest.

Do ya think Anon 134 was more stressed at the POBR violations, or having to deal with SEBA and that bone head Levine from SHS?

I think it was Levine who filed a federal lawsuit at the direction of SEBA, after doing so he tried to talk the member out of going forward with the suit.

WHY does this crap CONTINUE to find it’s way to iepolitics if it IS NOT happening?? Lies, well SEBA knows what they can do about all that, they have yet to call BS and bring those into their office and challenge them.

The news coming from clients using LDME is 98% POSATIVE stuff. The 2% negative is phone calls not returned within 12 hours, LOL!!! But that was because the lawyer was in court.

What does it take to get Plan 1 rolling? I am told the E Board can do it by a vote and a swipe of the pen. DONE!!!!

If the new E Board had done this as fast as getting LDME on board, well again I doubt a lot of this recent BAD NEWS would be posted here.

I think a little more money for a BIGGER piece of mind is WELL worth it folks, WELL worth it.

I really think there are those when they answer their phones hear, THANK YOU this just happened on so and so is taking care of business INSTEAD of, WHAT THE HELL and listen to what they have ALREADY heard over and over for the last several years or months, would also be MUCH happier.

A partial qoate from our beloved James mills.

“Your quest for revenge against SB County will never be fulfilled”.

First you should say it is just a few from SBSD and SEBA.

Hmm let’s see, Rod Hoops is gone. William “beef” Abernathie left SEBA unexpectedly, LDME is NOW part of representing SEBA.

Johnny McMahon and company is CLEARLY in the spot light with plenty of ammo to PROVE he is no different than Rod.

Got plenty of legal documents in tow to support my comments just in case someone really mans up and calls BS.

OKAY Joe, the quest seems pretty good to me right now. Just having a seat on the bus is pretty cool too.

I see your still sitting at the back of it trying to be recognized.

GOT a $100.00 to anty up with Blase?

If you could sober up you might see the picture without so much blurr.

Now go take down your xmas lights and tree.

Blase, I will not bet you. My point was simple. Some idiot comes on here and says deputies are getting 25k for POBR violations. That is complete bullshit. Those who are familiar with the case know that. Unfortunately you people spill out false rumors and stupid people believe them. That is why this is comical!

As far as my resolution not to bet you, I will not fall victim to this non-sense. Although these deputies have not been paid and there is no indication that they will, we have all seen civil penalties that have been levied against all logic. How about the 459 suspect that successfully sued the victim because he became injured while burglarizing the victim’s house?

909- get a life. You are as big an idiot as ACU. Good luck to all of you in your little quest. I will remain on the bus that continues to roll down the road with the qualified people that operate it. The same people you hate, the same people you try and discredit. Well guess what…. They still drive the bus and you get a back row seat. Keep trying! Good luck.

          @Mills,

That’s an idiotic argument. A fat kids parents sued because Nabisco sold double stuff Oreo’s without a warning label. WTF does that have to do with what we are talking about? That’s right, not a dam thing.

Your blind loyalty to a screwed up Executive Staff is telling. If you trust your sources, think your contacts on this case are very familiar with whats going on with the POBR violations and you trust them, than its easy money for you now isn’t it. Clearly you know more than I do, your sources are more “in the know than” mine, so bring it. Step up to the plate, put it on the line, trust your sources, and lets do this.

Fact is sir your not going to do that. Why? It’s quite simple. Your wrong, your source is unreliable, and you could not stand donating to the website that continually exposes the corruption and billy joe banjo b.s. McMahon and his buddies pull.

Fact is I just put it out there for everyone to see and you pussed out. Feel free to man up at anytime and take me up on that bet when you feel brave enough. Just think of the Kudos you would earn by being able to say you punked me and ACU and took my 100.00 bucks while doing it…… That would be the day…………

          @Mills,

The information you are putting out is not true. You distort the truth and make excuses for unethically and probably criminal behavior by Command Staff and McMahon at SBSD.

Also the I am not sure what a bus has to do with this thread but it sounds very weird.

The POBR violations are rampant at SBSD. Most are afraid to step up with a complaint for fear of retribution and retaliation from the Command Staff and McMahon. In the past if you did have a complaint you were told by SEBA to keep your mouth shut and take whatever you get. I hope those days are over. Beef was a self-serving PIG.

        22. AntiCorruptionUnit says:
          29 January, 2013 at 7:46 AM

NOW this is another CLASSIC from Joe Henry explaining away a POBR violation and justification for calling Anon 134 an IDIOT.

Typical logic of many within the “good ol boys” club from back in the day.

“we have all seen civil penalties that have been levied against all logic. How about the 459 suspect that successfully sued the victim because he became injured while burglarizing the victim’s house”?

PRICELESS Joe, just priceless. And thank you for the detailed explanation to support the logic.

I think after the Rocha Family read some of your comments when they started telling us about their deal, they knew they would win their case. They DID.

Now for those of you who are saying just ignore Joe he will go away, or what’s the point in much of this, THERE is a method for the madness. Be it personal or otherwise.

There is a reason to allow Joe to continue to talk away for the last couple years or so. ANYONE figure out why?

Joe did you start with SBSD when you were 21? Bottle fed from day one?

        23. AntiCorruptionUnit says:
          29 January, 2013 at 8:13 AM

Make no mistake for those reading this, Joe Henry used this SAME logic when he tried to councel people on how they should perform their duties, conduct investigations and form conclusions in their decisions.

I felt for the poor Sergeants who had to listen to this clown rant like this in staff meetings. There are still more than a few around like him.

He did it with me a couple times, I finally told him, “Lt, why don’t you come ride with me, you can show me how it’s REALLY done out there”.

Ol Joe declined to do that too!!!!! Hmmm just another chance for Joe to anty up and back up his mouth. PRICELESS!!!!

And this guy worked for Rod Hoops when he was the station Captain at Rancho.

Guess Hoops didn’t have the ability or guts to put Joe on a WPIP. But Hoops used ol Joe to be a hatchet man when ever it was needed. ALWAYS a fool ready to follow orders. Just ask Eddie Stark.

YES I got screwed with for calling BS on guys like Joe Henry. That MIGHT be some of comments that say I don’t accept responsibility for my eventual demize.

OKAY!!!! Just add a Joe Henry times 20. You think your patience and tolerance is UNLIMITED? GUILTY as charged.

But you all should know SBSD NEVER wanted to talk about the actions of guys like Joe Henry, so it’s fair to say his actions and conduct MIGHT cause them grief before a jury of 12.

Then add SEBA’s failure to deal with guys like this when the evidence presents itself, that just compounds the problem more.

Continue talking Joe. If you don’t know Joe personally, just compare him to Paul Cook and you will get the picture.

I can’t belief Darlene gave Joe Henry a pass and threw Dave Austin under the bus.

        24. AntiCorruptionUnit says:
          29 January, 2013 at 8:29 AM

And you bottle fed on your knees type, go ask Lt. Bill Maddox, Russ Wilke, Captain Bart Gray, Assitant Sheriff Stodell what they got for being a team player and ignoring guys like Joe Henry all their career in order to promote????

          Explain that one.

        25. AntiCorruptionUnit says:
          30 January, 2013 at 6:43 AM

          For SBC:

To throw (someone) under the bus is an idiomatic phrase meaning to sacrifice another person (often a friend or ally), who is usually not deserving of such treatment, out of malice or for personal gain.

The phrase has been widely popularized by sports journalists since 2004 and was picked up by the mainstream media during the 2008 primary season. It has frequently been used to describe various politicians distancing themselves from unpopular or controversial figures. David Segal, a writer for The Washington Post, calls the expression “the cliché of the 2008 campaign.”[1]

In a March 2008 NPR report, the linguist Geoff Nunberg noted that ‘under the bus’ “has appeared in more than 400 press stories on the campaign over the last six months.”[2]

So I don’t think mentioning the bus in a post is weird, since this term clearly happens around here quite often.

Haha, this is some of the fun at SBSD in the command staff. If Cook would have had the help, this would have been McMahon’s party.

Both McMahon and Cook have screwed over deputies throughout their career. So this is a joke to give this guy a party and any deputies seen at his party are suck ass losers.

Just like the few deputies that showed up at McMahon’s swearing-in. They might have been ordered to go so I give them a pass.

SBC that is some funny stuff about attending Cooks retirement party, I think I would be out number there. OH yes I have a story or two, but not one others would laugh at.

Maybe someone will put that 870 Cook shot the wash machine with on a plaque?

Yes I agree, there will be some who get ordered to go to that function as they did with McMahon function.

Yes, give those who have no choice a pass.

At McMahon’s swearing-in, they asked county employees to come over during working hours to help fill the seats and room. When no one was showing up, they ordered some workers to go and stand there while McMahon was sworn in.

Two friends of mine told their supervisor No they did not want to go and she asked them why. They said, “they has work to do.” She said if they did not go she would write them up. They told her to do it. She walked away pissed.

They said they could not stand McMahon because he was just like Hoops.

I asked them if they are going to Cookies retirement party. The laughed so hard one of them nearly passed out.

They said that some people who went to Hoop’s party are going to Cook’s party. They are going for the free beer. They hate Cook. They said at Hoops party everyone was drunk, because there was free beer. Really?

Cook came on in Oct. ’83 (Same day I started) He was a Lateral (LASO I think). So the 33 years weren’t all with SBSD. I only mention that because MY retirement plaque only gave me credit of my SBSD years (27 vs. 32).

@ACU………While it’s great to hear that LDME is now standing in the Deputies corner ready to defend, I have to disagree with your statement “the 2% negative is phone calls not returned within 12 hours.”

LDME has a history of not returning MANY phone calls and I mean NEVER as in NOT AT ALL; definitely heard crickets on the phone calls I placed to the firm. I do have to say they responded once to one of my many emails…… but then nothing! Not even a ” Sorry not interested!”

There are many non-sworn members of the Department that work hard for the SBSD. And those of us that voice opposition to the wrongs that we see are also put under that glaring spotlight and the BS that follows! But I guess LDME doesn’t think that we are important enough to defend!

OAN, thank you for that. I will let someone know about that. A complaint is a complaint and I will get on that for YOU, immediately.

          Doing so now.

          @ Onlyanurse,

Will you provide me with the names of the individuals you called and received no call back from as well as the persons email address who failed to return your emails. I will ensure it is addressed by supervision. LDME IS the largest Union representing firm in part for their promptness. If there are attorneys who are not following policy, which is specific and states within 24hrs contact will be made, I can assure you they want to know about it…….. Thanks

I was just told that Cook took a serious HIT on his total retirement package too. Somewhere to the tune of $20k plus. Those who know the real math can correct that.

Jan 1 the law went into effect that stopped mangers like Cook from spiking their retirement.

Hoops retired in December and took ALL the perks he could spiking his pension much like Richard Beemer did.

It appears Cook took the gambel thinking the Rangers would get him promoted. Well we know that didn’t happen.

So I guess the question is, ARE the Rangers upset with John McMahon?

On that note, I say McMahon did the SMART thing by showing Cook the door.

Many more decisions must be made like this, and they should show McMahon is cleaning out the RATS NEST, not making a NEW one.

Time will tell and we are watching.

ACU…….thank you Sir! I appreciate all of your efforts and input very much. I’ve been biting my tongue in regards to LDME because they are and have helped out friends of mine. But I can’t help but wonder if they are jumping in to fight the fight because it’s right or because of a potential contract with SEBA. I will apologize in advance for lumping the whole firm into one category but after my experience with them I’m just trying to keep it real….

@LDME fan…….Sure, but only if it will help to make sure that it doesn’t happen to another non-sworn member of the Department. I think it may be a little too late to help me! You can obtain my email address from either ACU or Sharon.

I sent several emails when the BS started and I never received any response back; and I’m talking weeks! After another email I finally received a phone call from one of the lawyers. I was informed that the firm would be happy to look into my situation and I was instructed to send him what I had. I followed up with an email explaining that I would send the info but it would take me a week or two because of a family emergency. I was told, “No problem, I understand completely.”

After sending copies of everything that I had I haveI never received any type of response. I then sent another email asking if they received my paperwork and if they had any questions. I even asked that if they felt that they couldn’t or didn’t want to help me then just let me know. I’m still waiting for a response…..

I then called several times and left messages with the different lawyer’s voicemail that I was transferred to………Yep, still waiting for that return phone call.

It’s ironic that several years ago I was fighting along side LDME for a common cause. But I guess it’s different now…….

OAN your welcome. Only so much I can do. You don’t have to bite your tongue, at LEAST your not just calling BS and using general comments to try and make a point.

Good luck is all I can say at this moment.
