    • iePolitics: The USPS wonders why it is in trouble

Last night I arrived in the Barstow Post Office parking lot at 4:48.  I exited my vehicle, walked up the stairs and stood in line.  I was the only person in line.  I was asked to step forward to the counter a few minutes later.

I explained to the postal clerk that I wanted to open a post office box for a corporation.  Now, please understand, I have opened quite a few PO boxes, know the process and how long it takes–which isn’t very long since the form is very short.

The postal clerk says to me, “You will have to come back tomorrow.  You can’t expect to come in here five minutes before we close and open a PO Box.”

I explained to him that I wanted to open one for a corporation and I had the original articles and IRS letter with me. (I also had the seal, etc.)   He said he would not accept any of those.  He said that I needed to have two forms of ID that showed my physical address such as an electric bill or insurance policy.

He also required that I print out a letter on company letterhead requesting a PO Box, or some such nonsense, to prove there is a company.  In other words, the original documents signed and sealed by the secretary of state would not be sufficient nor was he interested in seeing them.  I would be required to create phony baloney letterhead to prove the company is  company.

I decided that the USPS did not need my business.

I’m glad you posted, but have you climbed the USPS chain of command? In the Army, I constantly fight “command specialist majors” who invent requirements where none exist. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. (If you really need an office approval to do something, sometimes you just jump through their hoops and play their games when you don’t have time to fix it.)

Still, government workers who are allowed to build mini-kingdoms and enforce their will upon the commoners will just get worse with time without some of us standing up and saying “no”. (NOT saying you necessarily have time to be our hero and try to overthrow this tiny instance of government malfeasance.)

Well it’s very clear what happened here! Hoops was operating an illegal wiretap on Sharon’s phone. He knew she was going to the post office. He then conspired with his minions who knew the postmaster at that facility. A couple back doors phone calls were made and the postmaster ordered the clerk to refuse service to Sharon.

Believe it or not. You read it here first. If you need proof, just read the transcripts from ACU. We all know he doesn’t lie.

Sharon I would recommend that next time you go to the post office, DO NOT discuss it on the phone with anybody. But then again, Hoops probably has a GPS tracking device on your car and will know when you’re headed that way. Either way, its Hoops’ fault you didn’t get your PO Box.

Then get a po box in riverside county or kern county. Screw the establishment.
