Well, eventually it always happens. We wonder if it was due to all the lawsuits against the county or what. Larry Walker made a lot of enemies by keeping her around. It will be interesting to see who gets her spot. Dennis Draeger will be up for election, if he chooses to run again, and he may have an opponent or two who will use what this woman has done as campaign fodder.

It would be cool if we had a Walker Files Page so people who are looking for info about him can find out the real Larry Walker.
Oh how nice that would be ^^^^^^
It’s about time. I’m sure with her recent loss after trial, there was some pressure for her to retire. They (risk mgmnt) really didn’t want all those stress claims going into the public record. They gambled, and they lost. Now, it will be easier for others to at least get the heck out of there!
It’s sad to see and hear such negativity. May God forgive the bad tongues of these people. It’s only those who are envy, lazy and lifeless who have time to do such thing. It takes real woman to know a woman and Mrs. Thompson my hats off to you, you are strong, intelligent, inspiring and irreplaceable. There is not another person that will be able to do as much as you did for not just the county but for your employees. Those who were against you was only because you actually made them work and not allowed them to just sit and do nothing. Whatever the reason is on why you retired just know that you are victorious and always be, while your retired and enjoying life these lifeless individuals will continue to be sour, unhappy, and lifeless. It also takes a real man to know quality, sad to see that there were also envious men of you they could not take and see that a real woman held the throne so they go acting like preschooled girls throwing tantrums to get their way. You may not have been victorious in societies law but you are victorious in Gods law. You did righteous for many and believe in many. Too bad that some fooled the hiring process acting fake persons and once they were in the truth personality came out but then it was hard to get rid of. Continue being the same extraordinary person you are and enjoy your retirement, God has blessed you and will continue to do so. We love you and will miss you!!!
Yea, I’m sure that man judge was super jealous of her superior intellect and superior management skills when he found her guilty of labor law violations. Happy ‘Retirement’ lunatic.
RE: Guest’s comments
First of all, the judge is a woman, and it appears she understood the full measure of Ms. Thompson when hearing and evaluating her testimony. I object strongly to your characterizations of me and others as “lifeless” and “lazy”, that I wanted to “sit around and do nothing”, and that I am “sour and unhappy”. I had been working for over 30 years in the private sector before I went to work as a Deputy Recorder for Thompson, and had been extremely successful in two seperate professional careers. I am currently performing extremely successfully in another county department, going on three years now. The only time I have been sour and unhappy was during my tenure in the Recorder’s Office, and it wasn’t by choice. I have been happlly married for 31 years, and along with my wife I have raised two wonderful girls, one currently in college and the other a junior high school teacher. Both heavily involved in activities in our church. Try doing that while being lifeless and lazy. You, “Guest’, (again it amazes me how these Thompson supporters never identify themselves), have no clue what closed door meetings were like for myself and others while working for Thompson. Except possibly for the time when her counsel of one of my fellow Deputy Recorders was at such a high decibel it was heard through the walls. You, Guest, have no clue of the types of comments Thompson made about the employees we managed. If you had been in those meetings, and had heard those comments (probably about you, Guest, because I think I know who you are), it is my belief you would have quite a different view of your beloved De Ana Thompson. One of God’s highest callings is “treat others as you would wish to be treated”. Thompson victorious in God’s law? I guess that is between her and God. Certainly not between her and I, or her and you, Guest.
Hi. I was wondering if there is some public site where I could view information on the lawsuits against Thompson. I’ve heard the suits were won and also lost. I’d like to view the information myself. Thank you.
Well said John!
Hopefully we will have that information posted soon.
