Sources in Barstow are saying Mojave Water Agency Division 6 director, Beverly Lowry, is expected to be named as San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor James Ramos’ field representative for the Barstow area. Lowry has lived in the area for more than 50 years.
If appointed, this will be at least Lowry’s second stint working for a county supervisor. She served former First District Supervisor Kathy Davis during the 1990s as well as a field representative at the state level. For a total of 20 years she says she was “a strong advocate for the people of the High Desert regardless of political affiliation, helping them to navigate what at times can be confusing government bureaucracy,” according to her MWA biography.
