Hey, you know I live in the middle of nowhere with no TV, Internet, etc. That includes paper delivery. If it ain’t in the mobile version, it didn’t happen.
Environmental conditions cause SBSO to reach far down into the gene pool for deputies, which is assuredly why it’s overrepresented with dirt bag & derelict deputies. I feel for the few squared away SBSO deputies that have to endure a grossly tarnished image.
I have never seen an agency dominated by dunces who are clueless of even basic academy law enforcement knowledge. This paucity of professionalism has caused SBSO administrators to have responded with overbearing supervision.
With scary Schwinn suspects and handcuffed drunks, that is one thoroughly dangerous county. The question yet to be answered is who really are the dirt bags.
I do recall that Big Mama was in charge….. and on a mission… “TO BUILD A BETTER DEPARTMENT” …..and was in charge of recruiting and hiring the deputies that we presently have…just sayin!!!

A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy of 14 years has been fired after being accused of assaulting a man during an arrest.
Michael Parham, 40, of Rancho Cucamonga was no longer employed with the department as of Nov. 9, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller said.
Parham, who was hired by the Sheriff’s department in 1998 made news in 2004 when he was shot twice by a man during a traffic stop in Muscoy and survived.
Parham’s alleged assailant, Ricardo Alfonso Cerna, later fatally shot himself in the head while sitting in an interview room at the Sheriff’s Department.
Parham is accused of misdemeanor assault under the color of authority in the May 20 beating of San Bernardino resident Mario Madrigal.
Another deputy who responded to the disturbance call, Shadia Adham, 33, was charged with impersonating another deputy, but prosecutors dropped the charge due to insufficient evidence, said Deputy District Attorney Robert Bulloch.
Parham, Adham and two other deputies were called to the 4000 block of North F Street in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino shortly after 1 a.m. May 20 after neighbors reported a highly intoxicated Madrigal was throwing bricks at their house.
According to sheriff’s reports, Madrigal lay handcuffed on the ground screaming for help as Parham joked with the other deputies while repeatedly kicking Madrigal in the chest and groin. At one point, Parham placed his foot on Madrigal’s head and used

his foot to force Madrigal’s face into the dirt, authorities said.
Parham was hired in April of 1998. After completing the academy he was assigned to West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga in September of 1998. In July of 1999 he transferred to Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
In April of 2003 Parham was given patrol duty, an assignment he held until his termination last week.
Parham’s attorney, William Hadden, couldn’t be reached for comment Thursday.

What is interesting about this case is the fact Parham is NOT really being terminated because of what he did, it’s because someone REALLY doesn’t like him is the bottom line.
Same old story as it is for most.
The red flag is the charges they attempted to file against the female deputy. Funny how they reach down deep into the law books to prosecute some.
Now if the Parkinson family attorney will gather all his evidence and present it to the Orange County District Attorney maybe they will file a PERJURY charge against Rod Hoops.
I can tell you what I read has alot more BITE to filing charges than a couple of Vehicle Code violations.

Something you will need to consider, and something Mr. Parham should know; if Attorney Bill Hadden brings his “A” game to this case, and doesn’t sell his client out for future favor as Attorney Deiter Dammeier does, not only will there be a defense verdict in the case, but Mr. Parham will be back to work with back pay and benefits.
If that were true, can you please answer why it has been YEARS, yes YEARS, since Hayden has taken a case to completion? I said it, YEARS, YEARS, YEARS,YEARS, that enough years? I don’t know, maybe, why don’t you go ask him? If he’s honest, he will tell you how many more YEARS I should have added.

You have also done a horrific disservice to Mr. Parham and his family; assuming he or a member of his family has seen your comments. All Mr. Parham can take away from both your comments is that he is on his way to prison. Instead of telling Mr. Parham there is no hope in his case and that he is destined to be “Sold Out” by Mr. Hadden, you should be encouraging Mr. Parham to have a very personal, and detailed conversation with Mr. Hadden to ensure he will receive representation that is worthy of him and his circumstances, or seek out alternative criminal defense counsel for him. What is paramount for Mr. Parham presently is his criminal case, and I know of no instance where someone claimed Mr. Hadden “Sold Out” an officer or deputy during his or her criminal jury trial. If you know of one, you can convey it, but prior to doing so, you should consider what such a statement would do to the morale of Mr. Parham and his family.

It is the opinion of some that the NEWLY elected “E” board members for SEBA have HIT the ground running so far.

Sitting down and having a discussion with Bill Hadden, OH YES that really gets things BACK on track.
Ones blood pressure at somepoint goes off the chart, and he gets paid $225.00 bucks an hour while he talks to you. Mr.Hadden is an excellent “used car salesman” if you haven’t been involved with folks like him.
He might be able to talk the Pope out of his underwear if you give him the opportunity. ONLY if you pay close attention MIGHT you smell the BS that comes out of his mouth.
Mr.Hadden is not use to having simply minded street cops ask him to many questions or demand anything in MANY years.

That suggests to me that you are very NAIVE or very UNINFORMED or both.
But the information you need is contain right here.
YOU just have to read it to see where the problem might be.
Now if Mr.Parham wants to find out who he can talk to about Mr.Hadden, all he needs to do is send his email or phone number to the administrator of this blog and she will forward it to me with his permission.

HERE is another FACTUAL thought for you.
The ONLY lawyer at SHS with a WELL DOCUMENTED track record in WINNING criminal trials in recent memory is Michael Schwartz.
Mr.Schwartz in NO LONGER working with Mr.Hadden after having been with that law firm for over 11 years.
Hmmm there is another clue for you.
Now go do some reading and SERIOUS investigating and then we can have a more DOWN to earth conversation about Mr.Parhams future as a FREE man or an imprisoned man.
As Mr. A.C.U. said that Mr. Dammeier does not do criminal cases these days, I have never heard of a criminal case where he has personally defended an officer or deputy through, up to and including a defense verdict. Just as Mr. Dammeier was never up to the task of being a real, full time officer under PC 830.1, merely a reserve with your department and a civlian jailer in Claremont, Mr. Dammeier has never stepped up to the plate as a criminal defense trial lawyer for law enforcement, which is what the big boys do. Mr. Dammeier is very intelligent, and knows his limitations. I’m glad he has the integrity to stand down and let the big boys handle the criminal cases. Sadly, those he has chosen in the past for criminal defense, such as Attorney Todd Rash, were in place until he realized he would lose those cases. (Maybe because he’s a former Riverside County D.D.A.) Hopefully those in place now know what they are doing.
Mr. Hadden has defense verdicts in criminal cases for deputies and officers dating back to the early 1980′S. His defese verdicts rival those of Michael Stone and George Franscell. You cited no example as I mentioned previously of a case where Mr. Hadden sold out a client during his or her “Criminal Defense.” Mr. Parham could still use a different attorney in his administrative case should he achieve a defense verdict at a criminal trial.
Mr. A.C.U. asked for specifics on Attorney Deiter Dammeier, and I’m providing one. First, I am certain you, Blase’ and your membership in SEBA, & SBSD are very happy with Mr. Dammeier as he brings his Administrative “A” Game in your I.A. investigations. That’s great! Great for you guys that is, but that is not the level of service his clients enjoy equally among other law enforcement unions/poa’s.
So why do you receive superior service from Mr. Dammeier over other equally deserving law enforcement unions? The answer will sound simplistic, because it is. It’s business. ie: Money. SBSD is close to, or is the largest union Mr. Dammeier represesents. Bill Abernethy, your elected representative, is also on the board of PORAC, which holds the LDF funds to nearly every POA in the State of California. Every wondered why a county union member is on the board of PORAC in Sacramento, CA?
Bill Abernethy has interpersonal contact with PORAC’s Legal Defense Fund as well. Do you think Mr. Dammeier would like to keep Mr. Abernethy and the rest of you happy?
Mr. Dammeier has taken on far too many clients than his firm could ever serve equally. His firm would need another dozen attorney’s at minimum. Mr. Dammeier has gone so far as to hire Attorney Peter Horton! Does that not concern you? Mr. Horton was previously an police admin. attorney. He is responsible for more Cops getting than Rialto PD’s Explorer Program! He is personally responsible for teaching chief’s, sheriff, captains, etc. to lie under oath with impunity. He instructs them in how to use the; “I don’t recall” answer to hot button questions. This way if someone says something to the contrary, they cannot be accused of perjury or lying during the investigation. Saying you do not recall is not legally a contradiction. It is merely someone’s claim of their immediate inability to recollect. Do you believe Mr. Horton suddenly like rank and file Cops? How many cases would he have to conflict out of because of personal relationships he still maintains to this day with police administrators?
An example of Mr. Dammeier’s firm selling out a client involves a probationary custody deputy working in a sheriff’s custody facility in California. The deputy has since moved on, so I am keeping his name and agency confidential. This was a young, single deputy, who because he was single worked a lot of overtime. Far too much. He became such a constant presence in the jail, and was so diligent in his work ethic, he interfered with inmates, and in his case, deputies that were trafficking in drugs in, and outside the jail facility. Several of these deputies have been arrested, one has committed suicide and 2 other unsuccessfully attempted to.
Inmates and deputies wanting this deputy removed began complaining about his conduct. Not in the form of excessive force, but rather for being far too strict to adherence to inmate conduct policy, up to and including what time the TV was shut off. The deputies involved in the narcotics trafficking, which included a sergeant, handed out inmate complaint forms (Different that citizen complaint forms) which some 20 inmates filled out and submitted. The deputy was fired one day before his probation was to end because of the “Preponderance of inmate complaints.”
The union this deputy belonged to would not fund an affirmative defense for him in an adminstrative appeal, as he was an “At Will” sworn deputy still on probation, so he begged and borrowed and gave Mr. Dammeier’s office an approx. $6000.00 retainer. His case was assigned to Attorney Mike McGill. Another attorney capable of “A” Game representation. There were no less than 13 violations of the county’s own department policies concerning this deputy and his separation from employment. These could have and would have been cause for reinstatement, but Mr. Dammeier and Mr. McGill had other plans for his defense. Their idea? Let’s try to potentially create new case law by claiming this deputy was denied his P.O.B.A.R. rights, even as a probationary deputy when asked about the inmate complaints, and even though they were not standard citizen complaints submitted citing any violation of department poicy. They had the department policy violations if needed, but this was how they were going to proceed.
During the weeks and months leading up to the appeal board hearing, this deputy worked exclusively with Attorney Mike McGill, who told the deputy the night before the hearing that he was ready to go, and for him not to be late. So what does Mr. McGill do that following morning? He doesn’t show up. Instead, he’s phoned a new female attorney from his firm and tells her to go in and represent the deputy at his hearing. She shows up at the hearing to a startled deputy who wonders where Mr. McGill is, and the only thing in her possesion are legal pad notes she took while speaking with Mr. McGill on the phone that morning.
She made her P.O.B.A.R. argument, and lost. The hearing captain from the sheriff’s department then asked if she had any evidence of department policy violations in the deputy’s separation from employment, and she said no, as Mr. McGill was still in possession of those documents, and she was never told of their existence by Mr. McGill.
If Mr. McGill knew he was going to be a no show in the case, he could have filed an Exparte’ Motion to have the hearing postponed. It is often done, and has been done previously by Mr. Dammeier’s law firm. Sadly this was not done in this case. The deputy applied to numerous agencies afterward, but could not get hired and finally gave up trying.
As I said, I am glad Mr. Dammeier provides SEBA/SBSD with high quality representation, and now you know why, but for every horror story you both convey about Mr. Hadden, I can provide the same of Mr. Dammeier or another attorney in his firm. The truth is, all 3 of us can be right. After all, we are in fact talking about attorney’s, are we not?
In the future, you should keep to the subject matter, and not inject personal, degrading comments about others you disagree with. You taint valid points you could be making, and turn off citizen’s visiting this site and those in the media that could be searching for valid stories in which to report on. Profainities if being quoted of another are fine, but doing so as an exclammation point is just immature and lowers your credibiltiy. If you doing so just to feed your hearts need for daily vengeance, you are attempting to feed a beast that can never be fed.

Schrader makes the other two look like a couple of boots. He steps up and tells us what he will do and how he will do it. The others sound like political nothing. I am going to meet Paul Schrader on November 27th at 10:00 AM at the Board of Supervisors meeting. They say he has about 100 to 200 people going with him. Schrader has the balls and support of the voters. No Hoops we have forgot about your boy that calls himself the sheriff. He needs to stop and go home, along with you. MacLoser!!!

Deiter’s firm is only handling a half dozen cases, they are NOT the primary firm handling SEBA business unfortunately.

Speaking of subtle threats, SOUNDS like SHS threatened SEBA if they walk away from them and break this BOGUS contract that has been signed between themselves that expires in about a year.
SHS have survived all this time because William Abernathy and his CORRUPT “E” board has IGNORED the complaints.
Then Hadden has the likes of Mike Eagleson and Nancy Tate of SEBA telling everyone SHS is the best.

@ ANON- If you think Schrader’s letter to SEBA makes the others look like boots then you have problems. Anyone can say, “when I’m Sheriff I’ll do this, I’ll do that.” Didn’t Obama said he would do everything under the sun?! Scharder’s letter reminds me of when kids in elementary school ran for president. “I’ll have soda machines everywhere, I’ll have chocolate milk fountains, I’ll have longer recess.” Give me a break…Everything Schrader wants to do costs money. If I’m not mistaken, we don’t have money. We also have to hire approx two hundred people to fill the new ADC. We took a pay cut. We don’t have money…So while all that stuff is fine and dandy, it’s not realistic.
I think it’s funny how Schrader says he will do an audit of manpower usage….We already do more with less. We police area’s with a lot less deputies then a department would do with officers. SBSD is not top heavy like LASD. I mean for example just in the jail at one facility on one shift there would be a Lieutenant, 2 Sergeants, and a bonus deputy. While in SBSD the only place that has a Lieutenant every shift I believe is WVDC. On patrol there is 1 Sergeant and no Corporals or rarely both. So I think we need more deputies yes, but it all requires money.
SBSD Sergeants do the SAME job as LASD (and 90% of other departments) Lieutenants. SBSD Corporals do the same thing as most agency Sergeants. SBSD Lieutenants do the same job as most departments Captains.

How is Bill Abernathy’s departure and recent replacement by Laren Leichliter relevant to this conversation? So one SEBA President on PORAC’s Board of Trustees is replaced by another SEBA President. What’s your point? Mine was in describing Mr. Dammeier’s law firm history in providing your union with superior service over that of other unions and his likely motivation for doing so. The names and titles can change all they like, but Mr. Dammeier’s fiscal business interests have not, and that is to keep his big dollar SEBA client happy, and PORAC’s LDF Board of Trustees happy.
You said that the story I provided about Mr. Dammeier and Mr. McGill and the LASD deputy that was terminated during his custody assignment means NOTHING to some of you around SBSD! YOU asked for the example, and I provided it. You simultaneously gave us a revealing look into your own character. The difference between you and the LASD deputy I described is that if he learned you had been treated as he had, it WOULD mean something to him. As a caring, Christian young man, he would care to learn you had suffered an injustice, unlike yourself and the other SBSD deputies you are apparently authorized to represent. It would not matter to that LASD deputy you worked in another county, or with another agency. Even if he were to learn of your gross indifference to his injustice, he would still care about yours.
What you are saying is that if Mr. Dammeier or his other attorney’s behave as you have described Mr. Hadden behaving, that means NOTHING to you so long as it does not affect you or other deputies from your department. That type of selfish and inclusive rhetoric speaks volumes about your character, as the only brothers and sisters you believe to exist in law enforcement are those you deem worthy in your own department. I suspect you do not speak for as many SBSD deputies in this regard as you think you do. Certainly not the Christian ones anyway. You may claim to despise Bill Abernathy, but you are conjoined twins in your selfish inclusiveness, where Mr. Abernathy turned a blind eye, and vote to any PORAC issue outside of SEBA.

I just wanted to comment on what was orginally posted. The female deputies charges were dropped by DA Bullock because of lack of evidence. The evidence was on the belt recorder her saying she was deputy mitchell twice and then laughing after Parham kicked the suspect/victim. It’s all in the report. Not only should she have been charged with inpersonating her fellow co-worker she should have been charged with assesory to Parhams charges as she laughed and contributed to the abuse.

Hoops, IA, Sheriffs Admin suffer from a disease that effects the brain of ass kissing liars, its called, “selective memory”. In any other professional setting (yes Back in OC” I said it) it’s terminal. Luckily, those that are effected by this usually professionally fatal disease have found hope and comfort and can NOW call SBSD home.
These individuals suffer through great pain during their recovery/transformation however and their dedication to this transformation should not go UN-noticed.
They go through several pain stacking surgeries which include but are not limited to:
1) Removal the spine
2) The removal of portions of the brain that control the ability to recall events detrimental to the agency and themselves, maintain character, integrity, impartiality, and most painful, the ability to think for themselves
3)Removal of their sensors of smell which assists them in breathing while their head is firmly up their supervisors ass
4)Removal of the portion of the brain that causes guilt. This allows them to freely and routinely stab friends, family, coworkers, and subordinates in the back to better their chances of promotion
I realize this is a brief summary of some of the procedures these REBORN, death defying individuals go through when they swear their very lives to this current administration.
So please support this Administrations fight to destroy this department and donate to the San Bernardino County Sheriffs department Hospital of re-education and loyalty realignment institute more commonly and loosely based on the more professional institutes of other agencies known as SLI. Environmental conditions cause SBSO to reach far down into the gene pool for deputies, which is assuredly why it’s overrepresented with dirt bag & derelict deputies. I feel for the few squared away SBSO deputies that have to endure a grossly tarnished image.
I have never seen an agency dominated by dunces who are clueless of even basic academy law enforcement knowledge. This paucity of professionalism has caused SBSO administrators to have responded with overbearing supervision.
With scary Schwinn suspects and handcuffed drunks, that is one thoroughly dangerous county. The question yet to be answered is who really are the dirt bags.

A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy of 14 years has been fired after being accused of assaulting a man during an arrest.
Michael Parham, 40, of Rancho Cucamonga was no longer employed with the department as of Nov. 9, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller said.
Parham, who was hired by the Sheriff’s department in 1998 made news in 2004 when he was shot twice by a man during a traffic stop in Muscoy and survived.
Parham’s alleged assailant, Ricardo Alfonso Cerna, later fatally shot himself in the head while sitting in an interview room at the Sheriff’s Department.
Parham is accused of misdemeanor assault under the color of authority in the May 20 beating of San Bernardino resident Mario Madrigal.
Another deputy who responded to the disturbance call, Shadia Adham, 33, was charged with impersonating another deputy, but prosecutors dropped the charge due to insufficient evidence, said Deputy District Attorney Robert Bulloch.
Parham, Adham and two other deputies were called to the 4000 block of North F Street in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino shortly after 1 a.m. May 20 after neighbors reported a highly intoxicated Madrigal was throwing bricks at their house.
According to sheriff’s reports, Madrigal lay handcuffed on the ground screaming for help as Parham joked with the other deputies while repeatedly kicking Madrigal in the chest and groin. At one point, Parham placed his foot on Madrigal’s head and used

his foot to force Madrigal’s face into the dirt, authorities said.
Parham was hired in April of 1998. After completing the academy he was assigned to West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga in September of 1998. In July of 1999 he transferred to Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
In April of 2003 Parham was given patrol duty, an assignment he held until his termination last week.
Parham’s attorney, William Hadden, couldn’t be reached for comment Thursday.

What is interesting about this case is the fact Parham is NOT really being terminated because of what he did, it’s because someone REALLY doesn’t like him is the bottom line.
Same old story as it is for most.
The red flag is the charges they attempted to file against the female deputy. Funny how they reach down deep into the law books to prosecute some.
Now if the Parkinson family attorney will gather all his evidence and present it to the Orange County District Attorney maybe they will file a PERJURY charge against Rod Hoops.
I can tell you what I read has alot more BITE to filing charges than a couple of Vehicle Code violations.

@AntiCorruptionUnit @Blase’ Notwithstanding your comments about Bill Hadden’s most recent quality level of legal service, which I’m not disagreeing with; and if you say that is what has occurred, I trust you are being honest, but did you happen to notice I said; “IF” Bill Hadden brings his “A” game? All that means is he has the capability of winning this case for Mr. Parham if he so chooses, and my even using the word “IF” should have been an obvious clue to both of you that I was not making a current day advocate’s endorsement of Mr. Hadden.
What’s curious is both of your immediate, angry attacks of messengers like me and others who simply make a observation. Killing the messenger, or a; “Rush to Judgement” is something both of you readily despise of SBCO Sheriff Administrators and elected officials.
You have also done a horrific disservice to Mr. Parham and his family; assuming he or a member of his family has seen your comments. All Mr. Parham can take away from both your comments is that he is on his way to prison. Instead of telling Mr. Parham there is no hope in his case and that he is destined to be “Sold Out” by Mr. Hadden, you should be encouraging Mr. Parham to have a very personal, and detailed conversation with Mr. Hadden to ensure he will receive representation that is worthy of him and his circumstances, or seek out alternative criminal defense counsel for him. Both of you can then organize a private Legal Defense Fund at a bank of your choosing should SEBA choose not pay for that non-panel member legaldefense. What is paramount for Mr. Parham presently is his criminal case, and I know of no instance where someone claimed Mr. Hadden “Sold Out” an officer or deputy during his or her criminal jury trial. Now before both of you go to guns again; what did I just say? Let’s read it together: I said I know of no instance! If you know of one, you can convey it, but prior to doing so, you should consider what such a statement would do to the morale of Mr. Parham and his family.

I have heard rumor about other unions wanting to oust LDME because of the incident in Costa Mesa. WOW who cares about what happened down in Orange County.

If the current SEBA administration is concerned about a law firm putting the tail on a union busting politician, SEBA should be just as concerned with the shenanigans SBSD has played with local politicians they DON’T like right around here.

Back in the day SHS might have been on top of the game, but that was LONG ago. If that is all you have to offer up for a defense, then I would BE QUIET cause your going to look like a fool at the end of the discussion.
WE are talking about what is happening RIGHT NOW, not 20 years ago for VICTORIES.
On a POSATIVE note, I’d like to THANK SEBA for putting up the letters from ALL 3 candidates hoping to be appointed to Sheriff in the next month.
The letters from McMahon,Schrader, and Bushey tell a story if you look close.
But I must say that was cool for SEBA to show a little transperancy with ALL of the candidates.
It is the opinion of some that the NEWLY elected “E” board members for SEBA have HIT the ground running so far.
If they hold that pace, it will be the FIRST time in HISTORY that is for sure.
Time will surely tell.

Sitting down and having a discussion with Bill Hadden, OH YES that really gets things BACK on track.
Ones blood pressure at somepoint goes off the chart, and he gets paid $225.00 bucks an hour while he talks to you. Mr.Hadden is an excellent “used car salesman” if you haven’t been involved with folks like him.
He might be able to talk the Pope out of his underwear if you give him the opportunity. ONLY if you pay close attention MIGHT you smell the BS that comes out of his mouth.
Mr.Hadden is not use to having simply minded street cops ask him to many questions or demand anything in MANY years.
He gets a little perplexed when peasants who simply write tickets or deal with ignorant people all day QUESTION his intellect one to many times.
The issues with Bill Hadden and company are WELL DOCUMENTED at this time involving at least a HALF dozen deputies that we can put our hands on.
There are more, but their not talking or don’t care. That too is typical of many in SBSD. It is what it is.

That suggests to me that you are very NAIVE or very UNINFORMED or both.
But the information you need is contain right here.
YOU just have to read it to see where the problem might be.
Now if Mr.Parham wants to find out who he can talk to about Mr.Hadden, all he needs to do is send his email or phone number to the administrator of this blog and she will forward it to me with his permission.
Then I will direct Mr.Parham who he can talk to and find out ALL on his own if he wants to go to PRISON or get his job back.

The ONLY lawyer at SHS with a WELL DOCUMENTED track record in WINNING criminal trials in recent memory is Michael Schwartz.
Mr.Schwartz in NO LONGER working with Mr.Hadden after having been with that law firm for over 11 years.

Now go do some reading and SERIOUS investigating and then we can have a more DOWN to earth conversation about Mr.Parhams future as a FREE man or an imprisoned man.

As Mr. A.C.U. said that Mr. Dammeier does not do criminal cases these days, I have never heard of a criminal case where he has personally defended an officer or deputy through, up to and including a defense verdict. Just as Mr. Dammeier was never up to the task of being a real, full time officer under PC 830.1, merely a reserve with your department and a civlian jailer in Claremont, Mr. Dammeier has never stepped up to the plate as a criminal defense trial lawyer for law enforcement, which is what the big boys do. Mr. Dammeier is very intelligent, and knows his limitations. I’m glad he has the integrity to stand down and let the big boys handle the criminal cases. Sadly, those he has chosen in the past for criminal defense, such as Attorney Todd Rash, were in place until he realized he would lose those cases. (Maybe because he’s a former Riverside County D.D.A.) Hopefully those in place now know what they are doing.
Mr. Hadden has defense verdicts in criminal cases for deputies and officers dating back to the early 1980′S. His defese verdicts rival those of Michael Stone and George Franscell. You cited no example as I mentioned previously of a case where Mr. Hadden sold out a client during his or her “Criminal Defense.” Mr. Parham could still use a different attorney in his administrative case should he achieve a defense verdict at a criminal trial.
Mr. A.C.U. asked for specifics on Attorney Deiter Dammeier, and I’m providing one. First, I am certain you, Blase’ and your membership in SEBA, & SBSD are very happy with Mr. Dammeier as he brings his Administrative “A” Game in your I.A. investigations. That’s great! Great for you guys that is, but that is not the level of service his clients enjoy equally among other law enforcement unions/poa’s.
So why do you receive superior service from Mr. Dammeier over other equally deserving law enforcement unions? The answer will sound simplistic, because it is. It’s business. ie: Money. SBSD is close to, or is the largest union Mr. Dammeier represesents. Bill Abernethy, your elected representative, is also on the board of PORAC, which holds the LDF funds to nearly every POA in the State of California. Every wondered why a county union member is on the board of PORAC in Sacramento, CA?
Bill Abernethy has interpersonal contact with PORAC’s Legal Defense Fund as well. Do you think Mr. Dammeier would like to keep Mr. Abernethy and the rest of you happy?
Mr. Dammeier has taken on far too many clients than his firm could ever serve equally. His firm would need another dozen attorney’s at minimum. Mr. Dammeier has gone so far as to hire Attorney Peter Horton! Does that not concern you? Mr. Horton was previously an police admin. attorney. He is responsible for more Cops getting than Rialto PD’s Explorer Program! He is personally responsible for teaching chief’s, sheriff, captains, etc. to lie under oath with impunity. He instructs them in how to use the; “I don’t recall” answer to hot button questions. This way if someone says something to the contrary, they cannot be accused of perjury or lying during the investigation. Saying you do not recall is not legally a contradiction. It is merely someone’s claim of their immediate inability to recollect. Do you believe Mr. Horton suddenly like rank and file Cops? How many cases would he have to conflict out of because of personal relationships he still maintains to this day with police administrators?
An example of Mr. Dammeier’s firm selling out a client involves a probationary custody deputy working in a sheriff’s custody facility in California. The deputy has since moved on, so I am keeping his name and agency confidential. This was a young, single deputy, who because he was single worked a lot of overtime. Far too much. He became such a constant presence in the jail, and was so diligent in his work ethic, he interfered with inmates, and in his case, deputies that were trafficking in drugs in, and outside the jail facility. Several of these deputies have been arrested, one has committed suicide and 2 other unsuccessfully attempted to.
Inmates and deputies wanting this deputy removed began complaining about his conduct. Not in the form of excessive force, but rather for being far too strict to adherence to inmate conduct policy, up to and including what time the TV was shut off. The deputies involved in the narcotics trafficking, which included a sergeant, handed out inmate complaint forms (Different that citizen complaint forms) which some 20 inmates filled out and submitted. The deputy was fired one day before his probation was to end because of the “Preponderance of inmate complaints.”
The union this deputy belonged to would not fund an affirmative defense for him in an adminstrative appeal, as he was an “At Will” sworn deputy still on probation, so he begged and borrowed and gave Mr. Dammeier’s office an approx. $6000.00 retainer. His case was assigned to Attorney Mike McGill. Another attorney capable of “A” Game representation. There were no less than 13 violations of the county’s own department policies concerning this deputy and his separation from employment. These could have and would have been cause for reinstatement, but Mr. Dammeier and Mr. McGill had other plans for his defense. Their idea? Let’s try to potentially create new case law by claiming this deputy was denied his P.O.B.A.R. rights, even as a probationary deputy when asked about the inmate complaints, and even though they were not standard citizen complaints submitted citing any violation of department poicy. They had the department policy violations if needed, but this was how they were going to proceed.
During the weeks and months leading up to the appeal board hearing, this deputy worked exclusively with Attorney Mike McGill, who told the deputy the night before the hearing that he was ready to go, and for him not to be late. So what does Mr. McGill do that following morning? He doesn’t show up. Instead, he’s phoned a new female attorney from his firm and tells her to go in and represent the deputy at his hearing. She shows up at the hearing to a startled deputy who wonders where Mr. McGill is, and the only thing in her possesion are legal pad notes she took while speaking with Mr. McGill on the phone that morning.
She made her P.O.B.A.R. argument, and lost. The hearing captain from the sheriff’s department then asked if she had any evidence of department policy violations in the deputy’s separation from employment, and she said no, as Mr. McGill was still in possession of those documents, and she was never told of their existence by Mr. McGill.
If Mr. McGill knew he was going to be a no show in the case, he could have filed an Exparte’ Motion to have the hearing postponed. It is often done, and has been done previously by Mr. Dammeier’s law firm. Sadly this was not done in this case. The deputy applied to numerous agencies afterward, but could not get hired and finally gave up trying.
As I said, I am glad Mr. Dammeier provides SEBA/SBSD with high quality representation, and now you know why, but for every horror story you both convey about Mr. Hadden, I can provide the same of Mr. Dammeier or another attorney in his firm. The truth is, all 3 of us can be right. After all, we are in fact talking about attorney’s, are we not?
In the future, you should keep to the subject matter, and not inject personal, degrading comments about others you disagree with. You taint valid points you could be making, and turn off citizen’s visiting this site and those in the media that could be searching for valid stories in which to report on. Profainities if being quoted of another are fine, but doing so as an exclammation point is just immature and lowers your credibiltiy. If you doing so just to feed your hearts need for daily vengeance, you are attempting to feed a beast that can never be fed.

Schrader makes the other two look like a couple of boots. He steps up and tells us what he will do and how he will do it. The others sound like political nothing. I am going to meet Paul Schrader on November 27th at 10:00 AM at the Board of Supervisors meeting. They say he has about 100 to 200 people going with him. Schrader has the balls and support of the voters. No Hoops we have forgot about your boy that calls himself the sheriff. He needs to stop and go home, along with you. MacLoser!!!

If Horton did this, or practices this he should be fired.

Speaking of subtle threats, SOUNDS like SHS threatened SEBA if they walk away from them and break this BOGUS contract that has been signed between themselves that expires in about a year.

@ ANON- If you think Schrader’s letter to SEBA makes the others look like boots then you have problems. Anyone can say, “when I’m Sheriff I’ll do this, I’ll do that.” Didn’t Obama said he would do everything under the sun?! Scharder’s letter reminds me of when kids in elementary school ran for president. “I’ll have soda machines everywhere, I’ll have chocolate milk fountains, I’ll have longer recess.” Give me a break…Everything Schrader wants to do costs money. If I’m not mistaken, we don’t have money. We also have to hire approx two hundred people to fill the new ADC. We took a pay cut. We don’t have money…So while all that stuff is fine and dandy, it’s not realistic.
I think it’s funny how Schrader says he will do an audit of manpower usage….We already do more with less. We police area’s with a lot less deputies then a department would do with officers. SBSD is not top heavy like LASD. I mean for example just in the jail at one facility on one shift there would be a Lieutenant, 2 Sergeants, and a bonus deputy. While in SBSD the only place that has a Lieutenant every shift I believe is WVDC. On patrol there is 1 Sergeant and no Corporals or rarely both. So I think we need more deputies yes, but it all requires money.
SBSD Sergeants do the SAME job as LASD (and 90% of other departments) Lieutenants. SBSD Corporals do the same thing as most agency Sergeants. SBSD Lieutenants do the same job as most departments Captains.

You clearly appear all too consumed by rage that you have glanced over that fact that I said I did not disagree with your current days assessment of Mr. Hadden’s work product or in the recent past. If you look back you will see I said; “I trust you are being honest.” For some reason you appear to be someone that can’t take “Yes” for an answer. You hate Mr. Hadden. We get it. We have heard you. All the Caribou in Alaska have heard you.

How is Bill Abernathy’s departure and recent replacement by Laren Leichliter relevant to this conversation? So one SEBA President on PORAC’s Board of Trustees is replaced by another SEBA President. What’s your point? Mine was in describing Mr. Dammeier’s law firm history in providing your union with superior service over that of other unions and his likely motivation for doing so. The names and titles can change all they like, but Mr. Dammeier’s fiscal business interests have not, and that is to keep his big dollar SEBA client happy, and PORAC’s LDF Board of Trustees happy.
You said that the story I provided about Mr. Dammeier and Mr. McGill and the LASD deputy that was terminated during his custody assignment means NOTHING to some of you around SBSD! YOU asked for the example, and I provided it. You simultaneously gave us a revealing look into your own character. The difference between you and the LASD deputy I described is that if he learned you had been treated as he had, it WOULD mean something to him. As a caring, Christian young man, he would care to learn you had suffered an injustice, unlike yourself and the other SBSD deputies you are apparently authorized to represent. It would not matter to that LASD deputy you worked in another county, or with another agency. Even if he were to learn of your gross indifference to his injustice, he would still care about yours.
What you are saying is that if Mr. Dammeier or his other attorney’s behave as you have described Mr. Hadden behaving, that means NOTHING to you so long as it does not affect you or other deputies from your department. That type of selfish and inclusive rhetoric speaks volumes about your character, as the only brothers and sisters you believe to exist in law enforcement are those you deem worthy in your own department. I suspect you do not speak for as many SBSD deputies in this regard as you think you do. Certainly not the Christian ones anyway. You may claim to despise Bill Abernathy, but you are conjoined twins in your selfish inclusiveness, where Mr. Abernathy turned a blind eye, and vote to any PORAC issue outside of SEBA.
Yes, SEBA is dirty, PORAC is dirty, and all their attorney’s are dirty, some are just dirtier than others. You just seem to be the last one to arrive at the party as to this revelation. It was in all the invitations.

It’s not funny that the audit that has been done at SBSD is always done internal and the last one done was in 1999. I know I was there. Make sure and get your facts straight. I just wanted to comment on what was orginally posted. The female deputies charges were dropped by DA Bullock because of lack of evidence. The evidence was on the belt recorder her saying she was deputy mitchell twice and then laughing after Parham kicked the suspect/victim. It’s all in the report. Not only should she have been charged with inpersonating her fellow co-worker she should have been charged with assesory to Parhams charges as she laughed and contributed to the abuse.
Anyone care to explain how I compared apples to Oranges since you guys are all wise and knowing. You guys are a joke…Anyone can say they want to do a million things. Hoops, IA, Sheriffs Admin suffer from a disease that effects the brain of ass kissing liars, its called, “selective memory”. In any other professional setting (yes Back in OC” I said it) it’s terminal. Luckily, those that are effected by this usually professionally fatal disease have found hope and comfort and can NOW call SBSD home.
These individuals suffer through great pain during their recovery/transformation however and their dedication to this transformation should not go UN-noticed.
They go through several pain stacking surgeries which include but are not limited to:
1) Removal the spine
2) The removal of portions of the brain that control the ability to recall events detrimental to the agency and themselves, maintain character, integrity, impartiality, and most painful, the ability to think for themselves
3)Removal of their sensors of smell which assists them in breathing while their head is firmly up their supervisors ass
4)Removal of the portion of the brain that causes guilt. This allows them to freely and routinely stab friends, family, coworkers, and subordinates in the back to better their chances of promotion
I realize this is a brief summary of some of the procedures these REBORN, death defying individuals go through when they swear their very lives to this current administration.
So please support this Administrations fight to destroy this department and donate to the San Bernardino County Sheriffs department Hospital of re-education and loyalty realignment institute more commonly and loosely based on the more professional institutes of other agencies known as SLI.
