Examiner: ‘We are the parents, they are the children’
Just days before the election, San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chairman Josie Gonzales appeared confident during a pair of fundraisers. In her speeches to supporters, she discussed the board’s relationship with employee unions.
Gonzales declared, “We are the parents. They are the children.” She was trying to explain to one mostly Republican audience in particular that the board of supervisors tells the unions what to do in reference to their members.
