Officials for the city of Barstow held a ceremony on Monday to unveil two new programs to honor the city’s military members past and present. The military banner program is dedicated to current armed services members. A memorial paver program is designed to recognize those who gave their lives or are missing in action.
Mayor Joe Gomez expressed his support for the program while delivering remarks to the crowd of two hundred or more. “As Mayor of this great City, the council and I believed that it was essential to extend our respect, our pride and our support to the men and women of Barstow who are making a difference in the lives of so many around the world,” said Gomez.
