Terry Kouba is the Director of Operations for the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters. During this election cycle I have submitted a number of public record requests to him for some projects I have been working on. Other than some tweets, for the most part no one would ever know that the stats requested are being used daily.
Unlike with other record requests I make to the county, I have not received the least bit of pushback from Terry. He has responded to my requests late at night and on weekends. Thank you Terry for all of you help.
On a related note, something else we have noted is just how much more information there is now on the ROV website. It takes a bit getting used to how to find it, but it is there.
Finally, I also noted today how well precincts are marked this time around. They are easy to located with numerous signs. Good job!
Some of the candidates are pretty unhappy with the new Registrar. There are a few things that may appear in a story at a later date–Devereaux’s influence on how things are done and the politics involved–but for today, I have to say it is a 1000 percent improvement over Kari the crook. I hope with a new board member, the registrar will feel he can do everything impartially and not be influenced by the other county crooks. The BOS has had control of the ROV for way too long.
If you haven’t done so today, go make our ROV earn his pay . . . VOTE!!
