I had a bit of an odd occurence yesterday. On Wednesday I went to the library to get some work done on the blogs and websites and, lo and behold, all of my blogs and websites had been completely blocked on library computers.
I called GoDaddy, which verified that everything was okay and checked all of my sites from two different servers to be sure. I called several friends who check from Blackberrys, iPhones, and regular PCs. Everything was fine. I refreshed numerous times on the library computer and then several hours later switched to a different computer. I still kept getting messages that my sites could not be accessed on library computers.
I was not in a very good mood. I had a lot that needed to be done regarding the pay reduction initiative as well as stories for this blog. Plus, I knew I was going to have to deal with Ms. Happy Face on Thursday, which is enough to make anyone semi-suicidal.
So, to reduce my stress level, I sent a short email to each member of the Board of Supervisors reminding them that they can block me all they want but I always find ways around it and do so with a vengeance, i.e., my stories about them get even nastier.
Well, when I got back into town yesterday and checked my email, there was an email from David Wert. Now, honestly, I don’t have a problem with David even though I get irritated with him at times. I know he does exactly what Devereaux tells him to do and nothing more or nothing less. It’s called survival on the Fifth Floor.
However, I found David’s response to be funny. I have sent a gillion emails to the BOS reminding them that I was very serious about my predictions about reduced pay for them. It has been in the works for over a year. Even after we filed it with the Registrar of Voters, they did not take it seriously.
Now, all of a sudden when I don’t ask for a thing, I get an investigation into my complaint, that wasn’t even a complaint. Someone is listening. I am not sure who but all I can say is too little, too late.
Take for example two of the stories I posted tonight, the one about the pit bulls and code enforcement and the one about the dirt bikes and code enforcement. Obviously, both parties have gone up the chain of command, and obviously, both parties got told to go to hell by county staffers and/or their board member. How much do you want to bet the individuals involved in these instances will vote to make the BOS part-time?
And these represent the tiniest number of people who have been screwed over in this county because those who are elected to serve only want to receive . . . the biggest paycheck and most benefits possible. This county is full of corruption and our elected leaders do not care.
How many issues have we discussed on this blog where county employees such as Andrew Lamberto and Linda Haugen are actually committing crimes and the BOS will not even look at them? Do all of you realize that whether the $102 million Colonies judgment was just or bribery, it was the result of inept county employees and the ego of a county supervisor? It never needed to happen but these things happen all the time because it is not their money being wasted; it is the never-ending pool of taxpayer money. And now the taxpayers have had enough!
I had a talk with one of my attorneys last night after I posted what happened yesterday. I did not mention in my post that the county’s attorney got so flustered that her voice started to crack. She was in meltdown. He said to me that based on the behavior that we have witnessed by attorneys in both of my cases, it appears that they have been given marching orders to do anything and everything to take me out, no matter the cost, no matter how much perjury and lies, and no matter what other action they may have to take to get it done. When this over, boy do I have some stories to tell.
I have been scratching my head in that we received declarations by two HROs that were nothing but lies. Both HROs totally perjured themselves and both attorneys have put forth as facts events that are total lies. In one case, a HRO has already testified under oath in front of a judge on another case that a certain event occurred one way and now they are totally backtracking and stating that it happened 180 degrees the opposite. I guess she does not know that I was also called as a witness in that case and was waiting outside for her to finish her testimony to be called to impeach her (as was another employee) only to have her tell the truth on the stand and my testimony was not needed. Now, even with that written record of her testimony she is going into court to tell a completely different story of events. And the BOS wants it that way. Lies and deceit are the only things this BOS knows. They are not capable of doing business any other way.
So, in reality, the answer is “no,” they are not listening. Yes, we got their attention and now all they are trying to do is find ways to stop the process. It is laughable to watch them scurry around like rats on a sinking ship. I am sure every county employee feels sorry for them — not!
Remember my crystal ball BOS. It hasn’t been wrong yet. You are going down and those that are lying to you about employees are going down with you. Prison for all!
