If everything goes right, 8th Congressional District candidate Gregg Imus will be among the guest speakers at tomorrow’s Americans for America Tea Party meeting at the Green Tree Inn at 6 p.m. His campaign staff has been collecting signatures for both the part-time BOS and part-time California Legislature petitions. I expect both petitions to be available for signature at the event. For more information, here is their Facebook page.

iePolitics: The BOS just doesn’t get it
On Friday I attempted to pull up the FPPC Form 700 on Dr. Dev GnanaDev, medical director at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). I was astonished to find that it still isn’t available online, assuming there is one at all. This is after over a year of excuses as to why the Board of Supervisors is covering for him, giving him a reduced filing requirement so that he can hide his real property near ARMC, etc. This is just one example of why the Pay Reduction Act is needed.
iePolitics: Update on BOS Pay Reduction Act
I have received many inquiries about signing petitions. The current signature gatherers have been on the job since Thursday of last week and have run out of petitions. More petitions are being printed and I will notify you when and where they are available. I am hoping to have them ready for a couple of upcoming Tea Party meetings.
Also, at least one Congressional campaign is collecting signatures for both the part-time board of supervisors and the part-time legislature. I will post his schedule when available.
The Sentinel: Lobbying Contract Provides Window On DC Graft
Less than a month after Representative Jerry Lewis announced his planned departure from Congress at the end of the year, the county of San Bernardino renewed its federal legislative advocacy contract with a lobbying firm that employs Lewis’ stepdaughter.
Washington, D.C.-based Potomac Partners, which was founded in 2005, is a full service government affairs firm that has experience in lobbying Congress and the executive branch.
The county of San Bernardino, like other governmental entities, utilizes advocacy services at both the federal and state level to advance the county’s legislative agenda. Beginning in 2009, the county began using the services of Potomac Partners in the aftermath of a burgeoning controversy over alleged improprieties in the county’s use of the lobbying firm of Copeland Lowery Jacquez Denton & White for promoting its interests in the nation’s capitol and in particular with regard to Lewis.

I don’t have time to read either. I will just say that I am glad that I am not the only one completely appalled at the anonymous cop’s comments on the story below. This guy is indicative of why so many of us have learned to hate law enforcement.
iePolitics: For mobile phones
If you are like me and don’t have a smart phone, iePolitics is virtually impossible to access from a cheap mobile phone. I finally found a plugin that seems to have fixed that problem. Let me know what you think. If the feedback is positive, I will add it to all the other sites.
iePolitics: Are you listening?
I had a bit of an odd occurence yesterday. On Wednesday I went to the library to get some work done on the blogs and websites and, lo and behold, all of my blogs and websites had been completely blocked on library computers.
I called GoDaddy, which verified that everything was okay and checked all of my sites from two different servers to be sure. I called several friends who check from Blackberrys, iPhones, and regular PCs. Everything was fine. I refreshed numerous times on the library computer and then several hours later switched to a different computer. I still kept getting messages that my sites could not be accessed on library computers.
iePolitics: Whew! I think I am caught up
I think I have finally caught up with items others have sent me to post. If you sent me something and it did not show up, please send again.
Local bloggers are always welcome to send me something to cross-post if it relates to what we do here at iePolitics. I only ask it not be something of very short-term interest as it sometimes takes me a few days to get things posted.
