Some of you may have been reading the exchange between Grunt, Taylor, Phulakes and Sharon St. John. And you may think it is just a few people having some fun. I haven’t said anything because I’ve been too busy. Then I get an email today. This email has been all over the place on county computers at the Sheriff’s Department as well as individuals such as a chief of police, Fontana Councilperson, etc. Many of the names you would recognize because they are regular subjects of our posts. And in that email entitled “Motivational Posters” were these images among others:
I harp and harp and harp on hostile work environment and it seems to fall on deaf ears. Those of you who think this is all in good fun don’t realize the liability these employees are causing for the taxpayers. This isn’t funny.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the email. There are probably 100 email addresses involved. But I know I am sick of this crap.

The sheer number of posts using county email addresses on all kinds of websites all over the place is absolutely not acceptable.
An afternoon with google and the county email directory is very informative.
When these emails go outside the county it harms the reputation of employees who despise this immaturity. Each hit of the forward button and there you go another list of county employees out into the world including the people who silently hit delete and did not think it was funny.
Your county dollars at work. You can only imagine the types of viruses and spam the county gets from all of these “fun” messages that are often trojan programs for spyware and worse.
County systems are for county business only – end of story – anywhere else in corporate America you would be fired. No one apparently gets it that running world class computer systems cost money. Perhaps they don’t yet have world class computer administrators capable of tracking these violations and blocking this crap.
What is wrong with the county IT department?
I hear they still use COBOL maybe they need a 21st Century intervention too.
ISD handles IT duties for a large portion of the county but the sheriff’s department has their own IT division. ISD is quite proactive when it comes to inappropriate emails and they warn people time and time again not to use county email sytem for anything but work related emails or face consequences. I’m also told that email and internet usage is monitored but I’m not certain if that is acutally the case or not.
very troubling….well…TAD is on another warpath with the workers in it’s sights…ISD has come up with 3 year old lists of inappropriate (their word) use of computers….over 250 employees are worried about their jobs….and those exchanges you mentioned…they don’t sound like people having fun to me….i never saw any e-mails this sick….
I have seen them personally on Sgt’s computers at work. Sgt’s saying, “Hey look at this dude…” even seen them passed around during briefing.
The first poster I have seen printed out in the Gang Dic’s office.
Interesting!!! Where are all the Hoops supporters now? I suppose once they have finished deleting their files, cookies, and deleting current recipients from their bulk-mail lists at their respective SBCO computers, they may come back to try and spin this one.
To all you sheriff, and elected county officials that will suffer the consequences of this, its your vicious, vindictive ego’s that got you into this. You could have righted the wrongs done to Sharon Gilbert and others, and now look where you are?
I’ve heard there are dozens of qualified officers and civilians that considered going to work in
San Bernardino City, and later changed their minds once they read from Steve Peach’s account of having worked there. S.B. City officials would rather their entire city disappear into a giant sink-hole than give into Steve Peach, and the same goes for S.B. County with Sharon Gilbert, ACU and others.
I’ve got news Mr. and Mrs. elected official; IT’S NOT YOUR MONEY!!!
Right the wrongs you have done to these folks before you turn this county into New Orleans, where the only employees that you can get to come apply are ones with criminal records and/or were fired from other departments. Then go forth and sin no more. It’s not about you, and was never intended to be.
I told Sharon she should put up the email and let us see the names of these people who participate in these emails.
I can’t wait to see the names of a few.

Hope some of those leaders of various community groups who become aware of this, will crawl right up into Hoops backside on some of this.

I have a question for the Hoops supporters.
Yesterday I was driving down the street and looked over and saw a Ford Tarus with a fake cell phone antenna in the rear window. Inside was a male and female with a child in a car seat in the back seat of the vehicle. When I passed the vehicle I looked in my rear view mirrow and seen a red light in the front window of the vehicle.
Do you think that the tax payers should be picking up the fuel and maintance bill for this family. If re-elected does Hoops plan on doing anything with reference to this problem.
Remember that they are asking all of you to take a reduction in pay. How much money can this county save if employees of the Sheriff’s Department and District Attorneys Office park there vehicles and only be allowed to use them while at work.
Before you tell me that this guy was on call remember that his infant child was in the back seat and I do not think that he would be taking him to a hot call do you.

This happens all the time. If I could count in my career with the county of how many county vehicles that were “cold plated” on the road during the weekends, it would turn your stomach. And guess what, they had family members in the vehicle.

I posted this on a different commentary regarding the same subject. I an so appalled I am reposting here. But allow me to add that after see the photos above I hope the department acts against these individuals. What kind of twisted people find racism, sexism, domestic violence, and attacks of sexual orientation entertaining. These individuals pride themselves on being public “leaders” but they are simply the worst of human kind.
I am BLOWN AWAY by this!!!! I came across it in a search and am disturbed and disgusted by the actions of all the employees involved!! I have no affiliation with law enforcement and therefore can’t understand the daily stressors you experience but I am a TAXPAYER and a VOTER and a RESIDENT of San Bernardino County. In my limited understanding I’m appalled that ANYONE in their right mind would consider the stressors of working in an academic, safe environment like an academy setting stressful enough to compare with the stressors of a jail or patrol. If these individuals seriously find their environment stressful enough to blame the distribution of inappropriate material on, they should rethink their carrier choice. Preferably their department should do it for them!
Isn’t the academy the place where young recruits enter into to be shaped into future leaders? Isn’t this the place where virtue, courage, pride, honest, dignity, and equality are suppose to be emphasized? Are law enforcement officers not suppose to be defenders of the weak? And then the very people involved in shaping the future of the pubic servant, that I and my children are suppose to RESPECT, are found to be passing racist, sexist, bigots, and homophobic electronic media? And worst still, all these individuals are passing their sick beliefs around in via mass emails on county computers!!
Who the hell do you think you are misappropriating resources like this? I am ashamed of each of the individuals involved and hope there is massive public outcry and an investigation. Behavior like this should never be tolerated and I for one hope to God that if I need to call 911 that it is NOT a SBSD LE at my door. And if it is, I hope it will never be “From: Beavers, Cynthia….From: McCormack, Crystal….From: Ammerman, Kelle…..From: Slusser, Ryan …..From: Matthew Roth…..From: Bill Charles, Jr.. ” because I will wonder will my family and children be the next station joke because we don’t me the officer’s ethnicity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic standards. I hope SBSD makes and example of these individuals and that none of them are patrolling my neighborhood tonight.
Sadly, prior to this reading I use to have quite a bit of respect for SBSD. Proud that our county could support a SD. But unfortunately lack of indiscretion and lack of accountability have seriously tainted my opinion. I will look further into this matter, and if true I will publicly back for the removal of all involved. I am only one concerned citizen though, but sometimes that is all it takes.

Disgusted you have hit the nail on the head. But the only problem is that the powers to be are not going to do anything with regards to this issue.
Look back at several articiles that have been written on this blog in the past. You see one must ask themselves the question why would they do anything to Mrs. Beavers when they gave her husband, who was a Sgt for the department, a pass on his child porn case. Then ask yourself where does Mrs. Beavers work, public affairs. Yes you guessed it she is a public relations officer for the department. Nice image isn’t it?
Now take the POST scandel. That issue, if the truth were to be let out, involves several past and current high ranking officials for SBSD. So one must again ask themselves “Why would they want to do something about this issue when it involves them”? And the person in charge of POST is a former Captain with SBSD so why in the world would he want to take his former freinds down. Several felony crimes were committed but they are not concerned about that they are only concerned about how big the rug has to be to sweep this issue under.
Now look at some of the ones at the top of the food chain. A Deputy Chief that beat his girlfriend and got away with it. Another one that registers his vehicles out of state but wants to make sure that all of the people under his command register their vehicles currently in California. An assistant sheriff who’s wife is involved in a hit and run traffic collision but nothing is done not even a traffic citation.
So just how far do you think this computer issue will go. The only interest the county has in computers is blocking this site from them.

But look at the people that have been written about on this blog that have worked at the academy. Lets see, there is Sgt Gina Perez and Detective Doris Stewart. Perez just lied during an incident while she was in uniform in an attempt to keep her sons car from being repossed which resulted in the repo men being arrested on her demand. And again look at the other incidents she has pulled off. Stewart does not even help her fellow officer during an altercation and locks a suspect in a holding cell for 8 hours and both of these officers were training officers for the academy. What have they done to these people, “NOTHING”. I dare anyone to do a survey with the public and ask them the question, “If an employee has an off work order from their doctor stating they can not perform their duties can you still have them work”. It seems that Sgt Perez does not know the answer to that question. And she trained officers at the academy.
And the funny part about this is all of the people sent to the academy are hand picked by the powers to be. Maybe that is why a former Captains son with little experience was just transfered there. Lets see next step for him is Detective and soon after that Sgt.
