Well, from what I hear Sam Clauder stole a bit of my thunder, but, yes, I have been discussing with many like-minded citizens the possibility of forming a small Political Action Committee dedicated to throwing out incumbents and supporting grassroots candidates. I didn’t want a PAC name that would leave any doubt in anyone’s mind as to what it was about. We have lots of bums in this county that need to be thrown out.
I will update all of you as soon as there is a bit more information.
Good idea. Get enough donations and you can enjoy some of the better things in life (see Sarah Palin’s PAC report!)
You might want to consider starting a “consulting company” of your own. Let Mitzelfelt and the other corrupt politicians in our county send some money your way, too! You don’t have to do anything … wont take any of your time (except for the time cashing the checks and spending the money takes!)
The problem with your theory Robert is that the amount of money we want to spend would not even be enough to pay my rent for one month. Did you not see my “small.”
Sam was a bit over the top today. He was shrill and almost hysterical; screaming was more than inappropriate. The only thing worse today was Snell, who really crossed several lines. He needs to be banned from the meetings, “dude”.
Oh, I see … you want to start and run a PAC that actually does something other than launder money? What a novel idea. Good luck!
Exactly Robert, one has to stop thinking like a politician to get it. I think that most of the voting public is ready to say “enough is enough” and it’s time to THROW THE BUMS OUT.
Art Bustamonte is running for 2nd district Supervisor against Paul Biane. He is a Vietnam veteran, retired police officer injured in the line of duty, current Chaffey Joint Union High School Board member, and a county employee. He represents the hard working, honorable, and public serving individuals that we, as a united county population, would like to see elected to office. He does not have the money, name recognition, or business interests that typically gets recognized in newspapers or gets money from PACS. That is why we need people who are concerned with moving forward with a new agenda–people like you–to step up and spread the word. Donate if you can (http://www.electarthurbustamonte.com.) Speak up regardless. Thank you. and no… this it not Mr. Bustamonte, just a county employee who knows him, respects what he represents, and is hopeful for change.
I would like to vote against Ovitt but none of the candidates are making an organized effort even though I helped Ron Wall get some nomination signitures.
If Ovitt does nothing to solve the inherent problems our county has, I hope Senator Negrette Mcleod cleans his clock in 2014.
sbemployee I am with you. I live in the second district and will be voting for Art Bustamonte. Besides having a career dedicated to public works he is currently employeed by the county. He is also a union member. He knows all to well the games being played and the money being wasted. Mr. Bustamonte doesn’t have all the money Biane and his sidekick Rutherford have but he has heart. I for one appreciate that. I was checking on Rutherford. It seems she likes to boast about how many wonderful things she has done for the city of Fontana. Yet, she lives as close to Rancho as she can get. She doesn’t even live in a Fontana school district. If she had made Fontana so wonderful, she should live in the city. Right off of Cherry and Whittram. Rutherford has been road dogs with Biane and Ovitt for years. She has recieved a large amount of money from Lewis Development. Sound fimilar. Lewis is interested in Rutherford becoming a BOS because the second district has a lot of what they want. LAND. Vote Bustamonte and Wall. Let’s do something positive. And please if you can manage it, please donate to these candidates.
I would love to see change in our county government. In my lifetime, I have witnessed the corruption and hiding in plain sight of our dirty politicians in the Board of Sups and their appointed leaders. Lets elect newbies who at the very least are not affiliated with the “good old boys” that have created havoc for at least the last 30 years. Any newbie would be a welcome change. Maybe with the proper leadership this great county, jewel of So Cal, could realize its great potential, instead of lining the pockets of our electeds. Vote your conscience, vote responsibly. Vote OUT the incumbents!
