Months ago some Republican operatives were quietly admitting defeat in the Governor’s race no matter which of the then-three candidates won the Republican nomination. I didn’t like that defeatest attitude but have slowly resigned myself to the possibility of having Moonbeam as our governor again. It could be worse as the Governator has proven so I wasn’t too worried.
Now that we have seen Moonbeam in action right here in our own little county, we should all be grateful that Republican hopeful Meg Whitman is starting to grow on voters. Meg is not the best of orators, but once she receives the nomination, she REALLY needs to debate Moonbeam.
I think we all noticed that he must be in early stages of dementia or Alzheimers. We are not being cruel here. Seriously, he seemed to be having some real problems at the press conference.
Moonbeam is getting up there in years. He is now 71 years old and it is showing in his mind the most. I think even Whitman could beat him in a debate.
Meg Whitman would be similar to Palin. Best of luck with her as the nominee.
Hey at least Whitman has actually worked some real jobs, that seems to say a lot these days.
We do not know under what terms she left these organizations. She may have been excused for an inability to perform. The repubilican party does not need another one of those.
I have read her statements and listened to her statements. She seems to have a limited knowledge of the complexities of the capitol and of government. She may do better that our present governor, but I am not convinced that she understands enough to navigate those waters.
After what Arnold has done to this State Jerry Brown is a lock for the job.
I agree, Brown has good odds, but we would need to change the name of our state to Greece Two. The question is which one goes to bankruptcy court first.
Aside from what has been written on this blog. Brown does have age related issues.
Issues that affect memory, speech, and motor control.
Serving as Gov until he’s 76 may be something to be considered.
A factor that I’m sure will play into the race. He was on KGO in San Franciso recently, where he described the state budget as a Rubix Cube and didn’t know what to make of it.
