iePolitics: Latest on Postmus and Erwin (Update 1)
I’m afraid I’ve been very busy today moving so I learned of the arrests last this morning and didn’t have an internet connection. As of a short time ago Bill Postmus has made bail. I’m told they are trying to get Jim out today too.
I’m told the rumor is true that Bill did have meth in his possession at the time of his arrest, which will likely be the only legitimate charge in all of this.
I know both have their detractors but this bail is ridiculous. See my previous article on the subject: Eighth Amendment
Anyone of us could find ourselves the object of a district attorney’s or law enforcement officer’s wrath. As I keeping saying, an out-of-control district attorney is more dangerous to a free society than any criminal he prosecutes.
Looks like Billy Boy had some people fooled with his “rehab” line. I think I do remember commenting that I doubted very seriously he was on the mend with his drug abuse. Wonder what else I might be right about? His “relapse” has nothing to do with Ramos, he is making those decisions himself and showing his disregard for the laws that govern us.
The issue at stake is credibility. That characteristic is slowly slipping away from Jim, and has long been absent in Billy Boy.

Which post? One came straight from someone who would be considered an expert on the subject–certainly more so than Mike–and the other, as you can see, was taken straight from case law and a law journal.
Its not a crime to be arrested, its a crime to be convicted. Anyone can be arrested! Its the part of convicted that counts.
The interesting part of this is the John Doe’s 1 thru 5. In my opinion, it is Redlands Vs West End. What is interesting is the bail amounts. Way too high in my opinion.
As of 7:03 PM tonight, Postmus is out of jail.
I do seem to recall that a judge was involved in this case, and he accepted the amount the county agreed to pay, where is his arrest?
I rest my case.

I do believe that you are not Uffer because Mark knows who voted against him: Derry, Mitzelfelt and Ovitt. It was Biane and Gonzales that voted in his favor. So there goes your theory.
Jim was an accused felon before I ever met him and before he became an administrator so not sure what I’m denying. I’m sure you wish he was convicted of something, but he is not and he will not be. Nice try.

Remember the the Attorney General for the State of California has also filed these charges, and it involves a remarkable sum of money; the Riverside Press Enterprise also detailed how money was funneled through organizations including the “Young Republicans”! That is not a trivial circumstance! J.S.L.
